Do You Have Family or Friends Who Want Nothing to do with Jesus Christ? What Will Happen to the Unsaved in the Last Days? (KJV)

This is one of the most heartbreaking and difficult questions for any believer—especially a parent. The question of what will happen to our children who are not in Christ during the last days is weighty, but the King James Bible gives us both sobering warnings and powerful hope.

Those who reject Jesus Christ and do not receive salvation by grace through faith will face God’s judgment during the end times:

“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
— John 3:18 (KJV)

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
— Revelation 20:15 (KJV)

These verses make it clear: without Christ, there is no eternal safety. During the Great Tribulation, the judgments will be poured out on the earth—plagues, wars, famines, demonic torment, and the rise of the Antichrist (see Revelation chapters 6–19). Those who are not sealed by God will suffer:

“And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth… but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.”
— Revelation 9:4 (KJV)

So, if your children do not know Jesus, they will be vulnerable during the judgments and at risk of facing eternal separation from God.

This sounds difficult and harsh but is a TRUTH that we need to consider. There have been many people throughout history that shared similar views about our Savior. What happens to them? Did God create a plan where MOST of His people would fail to accept the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and spend an eternity in the “Lake of Fire?”

Hope That Lies Ahead for Our Children?

God is still working.
Even during the darkest time in human history, God is actively trying to save people:

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude… of all nations… stood before the throne… clothed with white robes… These are they which came out of great tribulation…”
— Revelation 7:9, 14 (KJV)

That means many will be saved even during the tribulation. So, there is still hope for children who haven’t come to Christ yet. Can I be so bold as to suggest that all of us can do things the easy or hard way? Accepting Christ right now is certainly the easy way. For those who still reject Him, they will have to go through the brutal 3.5 years of the Tribulation and endure God’s Bowls of Wrath…The HARD way! Humbled through emotional and physical pain.

As I have learned throughout my own life, sometimes we ALL have to learn the hard way. Many of us are stubborn, and miss opportunities to learn as God would have us learn. We then are faced with the consequences of our actions, and hardship to humble us so that we are able to successfully complete our learning process.

You can still pray and influence them.
The Bible says:

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
— James 5:16 (KJV)

You can pray for your children with power and passion. You can be a light and speak the truth in love. God may use your example or words to draw them even at the last hour.

God is merciful and not willing that any perish.

“The Lord is… not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
— 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

Even if judgment is coming, God’s desire is to save. He is giving people time—even now. I acknowledge that our God is Fair and Just, however, I also know the compassion that He is filled with. Again, I can not see Him allowing a mortal plan that would “take out” the majority of His children. Certainly, there must be more.

God’s Desire Is That ALL Be Saved

“The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
— 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

God’s plan was never designed to send the majority of humanity to hell. He offers multiple chances, calls, and even plans beyond this life to reach people.

1. Jesus Died for the Whole World – Not Just the Elect

“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
— 1 John 2:2 (KJV)

Jesus’ sacrifice was universal, not exclusive. This opens the door for every human, not just those who hear the gospel in this life.

2. The Gospel Reaches the Dead Too

“For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.”
— 1 Peter 4:6 (KJV)

Yes—even the dead have the gospel preached to them. This reveals that God is just and merciful, giving people opportunities even after death.

3. God Judges Based on Light and Conscience

“For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law…
…their conscience also bearing witness…”
— Romans 2:12–15 (KJV)

Those who never hear the gospel are judged by the light they had—their conscience and natural revelation.

4. The Lost Sheep Are Still Sought

“For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.”

“Doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?”
— Matthew 18:11-12 (KJV)

God doesn’t abandon people because they’re lost—He actively pursues them. That includes those who are far off, deceived, or broken.

5. Every Nation, Tongue, and People

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne…”
— Revelation 7:9 (KJV)

This shows that God’s redemption will reach billions—from every tribe and language. His reach is greater than man’s preaching.

6. God Will Send Angels, Signs, and Miracles in the End

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people…”
— Revelation 14:6 (KJV)

Even during the Tribulation, God sends angels to preach. No one will have an excuse; God gives every chance.

7. The 144,000 Called to Preach the Gospel in the End-Times

Revelation 14:1, 3–5 (KJV)

“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads…
Revelation 14:6 (KJV)

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth…”

This is another example of the compassion that God has for His children. These people will be seeking out those who need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, giving them yet again another chance to accept Him and be saved.

So, Who Ends Up in the Lake of Fire?

Only those who willingly reject the truth, even after receiving clear light:

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
— Revelation 20:15 (KJV)
“Because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:10 (KJV)

These are not ignorant people, but those who willfully resist God’s grace, even after being offered it plainly. They have all had the chance to learn of the Savior’s Atonement, and would have been given a chance to accept or reject it. Those, through the free agency that they have been given, who choose not to accept the Savior and His atonement will be responsible for all of their sins, which will result in them being given the consequence of being sent to the Lake of Fire.

Bottom Line: God’s Plan Is Wider and Deeper Than We’ve Been Taught

• He seeks the lost relentlessly.
• He judges justly, not harshly.
• He offers salvation even after death.
• He reaches every nation and person through various means.

Our God of mercy, justice, and infinite love, who has a plan to redeem multitudes—not just a tiny few.

What Can You Do as a Parent?

• Keep praying without ceasing.
• Speak truth with love and humility.
• Live the gospel boldly in front of them.
• Warn them—but with tears, not just threats.
• Trust God with the seeds you’ve planted.

I have found great “success” in sharing the details of the “End-Times” with those who have not accepted Jesus Christ in their lives yet. Inviting them to study with me has given them clarity as to what will happen. And, because of this, they learn the importance of becoming accepting Jesus Christ into their lives.

Think of it this way…Do you think that anyone that you know or love would want to spend eternity in Hell? NO!! Most people are simply uninformed. They are distracted by the world’s events, and do not realize that the most important thing that they will ever do still lies before them.

To be so bold as to say to them, “We are about to enter into the final 7 years on earth. At the end of this time, none of us will be here. We will either be in Heaven or Hell. Where do you want to be? Do you know that there is something that you must do in order to ensure that you make it into Heaven?”

That One Thing is to Accept Jesus Christ into your life, and have faith in the atonement…To be Born Again.

John 3:3 (KJV)
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Explanation of Being Born Again:

1. It’s a Spiritual Birth, Not Physical
   • In John 3:4-6, Nicodemus, a Pharisee, is confused and asks how a man can be born again when he is old. Jesus explains that this new birth is not of the flesh, but of the Spirit.
   • John 3:5-6 (KJV)
     “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
2. It Comes Through Faith in Jesus Christ
   • Being born again happens when a person puts their trust in Jesus as Savior.
   • John 1:12-13 (KJV)
     “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born…of God.”
3. It Is the Work of the Holy Spirit
   • The Holy Ghost regenerates a person’s spirit, making them a new creature.
   • Titus 3:5 (KJV)
     “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”
4. It Changes Your Life
   • You receive a new heart, new desires, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
   • 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
     “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

What It Means for You:

To be born again means you are forgiven, cleansed, and made spiritually alive through Jesus Christ. You pass from death to life (John 5:24) and receive eternal life as a free gift (Romans 6:23).

It is my personal belief that many who currently reject Jesus feel that they have messed up their life so much through sin, that they simply feel that they are not qualified to receive His love or forgiveness. When they are taught the true gospel of Jesus Christ, they see that this is not the case. He gave us this GIFT, but we must accept it first to activate this precious gift.

If having this conversation with your child, or loved one seems “impossible,” send it through a text, email or simply write it in a letter to give to them. As always, before you send it, ask God that they will receive what you have written with the spirit of love and truth.

Our job is to get the information into their minds…Then, let God continue to do the converting.

I LOVE the example used in communicating this important aspect through the Gift of a KEY.

Present a physical KEY to the one that you are concerned about. Tell them that what they have just been given is a key to Heaven. It is guaranteed to open Heaven’s Gate and allow them to go inside. However, just possessing the key is not effective unless you know and implement the power behind this key. Then, teach the information as I have provided above. Having a key to heaven, and knowing how to use it…PRICELESS!

I must ask YOU to consider something as well. Do you know that you too will be guaranteed a spot in Heaven if you are Born Again and accept the atonement of Jesus Christ into your life? Do you realize this? Or, do you still feel that because some of your sins, that you might not make it? If this is so, you too must release the power of this key. Let’s again review these two scriptures:

John 3:5 (KJV)

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

There is nothing in that scripture that says that you must do anything else. In fact, Christ has also given us this:

Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV):

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Meaning:

• “By grace are ye saved” – Salvation is a result of God’s unearned favor, not something we can achieve on our own.
• “Through faith” – The only way to receive that grace is by trusting in Jesus Christ.
• “Not of yourselves” – You didn’t earn it or contribute to it.
• “Not of works, lest any man should boast” – If salvation were earned by good deeds, people could take pride in themselves. But since it’s entirely a gift, no one can claim credit.

Now… stop believing anything other than this guidance from our Master. We do not enter heaven because of our works. If we have accepted Jesus Christ into our lives and accept His atonement and repent, WE HAVE NO SIN! And as stated… “WE ARE SAVED!”

Go buy you a “Bag of Keys” and get busy, for there are many who are calling for your assistance. Time is short. Stop just waiting to be raptured, for we have work to do in passing out these keys. =)
