Understanding the Jewish Calendar, and their holidays, is so important as it relates to the End-Times, and the return of Jesus Christ.

In Leviticus 23, God calls them “moedim” (appointed times).

These aren’t just Jewish cultural events, but God’s own set appointments with His people.

Each feast has both a historical meaning (for Israel) and a prophetic fulfillment (in Christ and the end times).

How do these Holidays, “Feasts” relate to the Rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? Let’s do a deep dive and find out.

The Jewish Feasts are clustered into sections of the year. They look like this:

Spring Feasts

Passover

Unleavened Bread

First Fruits

Pentecost

Fall Feasts

Trumpets

Atonement

Tabernacle

At Jesus’ FIRST Coming, He fulfilled the Spring Feasts. If we conclude that Jesus Died in the year 30 AD, Here would be the exact dates of these events happening:

On Passover – Jesus Was Crucified – Thursday evening, April 6 → Friday, April 7, 30 AD (daytime).

On Unleavened Bread – Jesus was Buried Friday, April 7 – Thursday, April 13, 30 AD

On First Fruits – Jesus was Resurrected – Sunday, April 9, 30 AD (resurrection day).

And 50 days later, on Pentecost, the “Church Age” would begin. Sunday, May 28, 30 AD.

It’s remarkable, the data that is available to us today through the advancement of technology, just as the scriptures say they will.

Daniel 12:4:

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

So, with this precedence set, we can assume that Jesus will fulfill the Fall Feasts when He comes again in the End Times? The fall feasts now become the bookend of fulfilling Christ’s purpose of coming to the earth.

 

The Feast of Trumpets will be the day that Jesus returns to the earth to Rapture “His Church.” How can I make this conclusion? Let’s consider the following information:

1. What the Feast of Trumpets Is

In the Old Testament, it’s called a memorial of blowing of trumpets (Leviticus 23:23–25, KJV).

It marked the beginning of the seventh month (Tishri), a sacred assembly with the blowing of shofars.

Prophetically, many see it as pointing to future events because of the trumpet imagery.

And this…

Many Bible teachers connect the Feast of Trumpets (Hebrew: Yom Teruah, also called Rosh Hashanah) with the phrase “the day and hour no man knows” (Matthew 24:36, KJV).

Here’s why:

Unlike the other feasts that begin on a fixed day of the month, the Feast of Trumpets begins on the first day of the 7th month (Tishri 1).

The Hebrew calendar is lunar, so a new month begins when the new moon is sighted.

A new moon is very difficult to determine exactly—it requires two witnesses to testify they’ve seen the thin crescent. Because of this uncertainty, the Feast of Trumpets could not be declared until the sighting was confirmed.

This meant no one could know the exact day or hour of the feast in advance.

So, when Jesus said:

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man…” (Matthew 24:36, KJV)

…many believe He was giving a prophetic hint toward the Feast of Trumpets, connecting His return (the rapture) with the timing of that feast.

2. What the KJV Says About the Rapture and Trumpets

• 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 (KJV):

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air…”

• 1 Corinthians 15:51–52 (KJV):

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

Both passages connect the rapture with the sounding of a trumpet.

Personally, I have been hesitant in suggesting that the rapture will occur at the beginning of the Tribulation period, but for the sake of today’s writings, let’s consider the possibility that the rapture will occur on Sept 23-24, 2025 (Feast of the Trumpets) for the sake of lining up the following “Day of Atonement”.

The Day of Atonement will be the actual date that Jesus Christ returns to earth for His second Coming. Zechariah 14:4 teaches us about this event:

“And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.”

And finally, The Feast of the Tabernacle will be the beginning of the 1,000 year Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ.

Let’s assume now that the Rapture takes place on the Feast of the Trumpets, Sept 23-24, 2025.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

If you use the exact day count for the Seven Year Tribulation found in Daniel and in Revelation, (1260 + 1290 = 2550 days) it will take you to exactly Sept 15, 2032 which happens to be the Day of Atonement for that year (Second Coming of Jesus Christ).

This is significant because it doesn’t always calculate and line up that way. But the time between these two events is exactly 2550 Days, just as the scriptures indicated that it will be. This RARELY Happens.

The Hebrew calendar is lunar-solar: months begin with the new moon, and leap months are added to keep the festivals in their proper seasons.

The Gregorian calendar (the one we use today) is solar only and doesn’t track the moon.

Because of this, the feast days “move around” when translated into our modern calendar.

These Feast Dates are fixed on God’s calendar (Hebrew), but they look like “floating dates” on our calendar because the two systems don’t match. This is incredibly important in understanding the rarity of this ever happening as a “Perfect Match” of Days between the two Feasts.

YES, the rapture could occur on the Feast of the Trumpets any of the upcoming years. But did you know that the next time this calculation even comes CLOSE would be the Feast of Trumpets happening in 2070, but the matching Day of Atonement would be off by one day. God’s work is precise, so that excludes this date projection.

We also know through other writings that we are indeed close to the beginning of the 7-year tribulation period, which rules out any other starting date with the Feast of the Trumpets.

I invite you to join me in prayer, as we consider this new EVIDENCE, of the Rapture happening on Sept 23-24, 2025. It is certainly not imperative that we know the exact date of the rapture. For when it happens…it happens, regardless of a person’s beliefs. To me, the study and unwrapping of God’s words is clear evidence that He wants us to be informed. I find great joy to think that He cares that much about us in these last days.
