Satan’s Plan to “Deceive Even the Very Elect” Has Been Exposed – Chances Are, You Might Already be Tangled in This Cleaver Web

I have been thinking a great deal about what has been written in the New Testament regarding the deception that is to come in the “End-Times.”

When I read this scripture, it gave me great pause…

Matthew 24:24 (KJV):

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

I personally feel that I know Jesus Christ, but would be humbled to think that I would be the “Very Elect.” Perhaps you see yourself as someone that would fit into this category…Do you??

But take a moment and think about what Christ’s warning really is. He was telling us that even the “Best of the Best” (Very Elect) are at risk for being deceived. This frankly includes ALL of us. If the best of the best has a possibility of being deceived, so too does the “Average” spiritual person. We are all at risk, and need to take a moment and ponder what He is saying to us.

I have spent a lifetime trying to figure things out. I love to solve complicated puzzles. Because of this resounding characteristic, I have also taken on the challenge to figure out just exactly what the adversary’s plan would be that he could deceive those who might think that they are untouchable.

We all are aware of how satan has spent his time trying to tempt us into sinning, thus derailing us from our spiritual journey. This has been successful for him, as we can see that a vast majority have fallen away from Jesus Christ. But this same approach isn’t what his plan is for the very elect…It would have to be something much more cleaver.

What are some cleaver things that are outside of the normal temptation strategy that he might use? I thought for days about this.

My mind went to the story of the Trojan Horse:

The story of the Trojan Horse comes from the end of the Trojan War, when the Greeks, after ten years of failing to breach the walls of Troy, devised a cunning deception. They built a massive wooden horse, hollow on the inside, and hid a select group of their best soldiers within it.

Pretending to abandon the war, the Greeks sailed away, leaving the horse at the gates of Troy as a supposed offering to the gods for a safe journey home. Believing it to be a gift of surrender or a sacred tribute, the Trojans brought the horse inside their fortified city.

That night, while the Trojans slept in celebration, the hidden Greek soldiers crept out of the horse, opened the city gates, and let the returning Greek army pour in. The ruse succeeded, leading to the downfall of Troy, and the Trojan Horse became history’s classic example of successful deception.

Yes indeed. Deceiving elect people would be more successful if that deception were to come from the “Inside” of religion, rather from someone they might suspect of trying to deceive them. What if satan’s cleaver deception to get to the very elect were to come from within a religion itself?

Follow this scenario through with me.

Many of us have been taught our entire life to “Follow the Prophet” or spiritual leader. We even sang songs about this as a child.

Our religion spent the focus of their time, tying us to the religion, at the same time masking that we were being tied to Christ. We were taught about blind faith, which is to trust and follow the prophet, regardless of our own personal revelation from God. We have been taught of this loyalty, regardless of any other situation. We have dedicated all that we have to the church. Money, time, talent, and even our own life if necessary. This, we were taught was how we show faith to God.

(Can you relate to the dedication, and loyalty to the church that I am describing?)

What if…JUST WHAT IF… our church leaders told us to do something that was not what God would want us to do. What would you do?

Let me answer this from my own conversation with family and friends, asking them the same question. The majority of them said, “I would follow the prophet, regardless of my own personal revelation from God!” Seriously???!!???

I have JUST EXPOSED how satan will potentially deceive the “Very Elect.” Because through my own experience in questioning those close to me, THEY FAILED the test, and would be deceived. Deception through a church would indeed be effective to get to the Very Elect.

Satan’s plan to deceive the very elect will be to use trusted leaders of a church to persuade their followers to do things that are against God’s wishes, leading them away from Jesus Christ. And in the very worst of circumstances, convincing them to take the mark of the beast and losing their eternal salvation, becoming a servant to satan, living with him in the “Lake of Fire”.

Sound IMPROBABLE?

If YOU would follow a church leader, regardless of your own personal revelation from God, sadly, I must tell you that you are a high risk of this cleaver deception that is coming. You’re thinking, OK… Maybe so, but my church leaders would never do such a thing.

Fair enough. But what if I were to tell you that I DISAGREE based upon the current evidence that exists with your church’s track record of deception based upon my own experience with the church. It’s not as much about what is coming, it’s about what they have already done to deceive you?

I invite you to prayerfully consider the evidence. (Remember, satan has won when he convinces you of anything that takes away from Christ’s accomplishments when He was on the earth.)

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple. ALL of it is contained in the KJV of the Bible. Nothing more, nothing less.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is complete in the Bible. Paul warned in Galatians 1:8 (KJV): “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

We are not to add church traditions, rituals, or extra scriptures. We are not to take away from Christ’s finished work on the cross. The gospel stands firm: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3–4 KJV).

Does the church teach you other doctrine in addition, or replacing the teachings that He taught when He was on the earth? If so, do you believe that doctrine? YOU HAVE BEEN DECEIVED! Let’s keep going…

One of the greatest teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is His Atonement. I would like to break it down for you to compare your churches teachings vs what Christ actually taught when He was here. This can help you see that you are actually being deceived RIGHT NOW.

Jesus taught that we are “Saved by Grace, and NOT by our own Works.”

Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV):

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Titus 3:5

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

2 Timothy 1:9

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

These verses make it clear that salvation is entirely the work of Christ, received by faith alone, and not something we can earn through works or rituals.

Does your church teach “for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do”? YOU HAVE BEEN DECEIVED! Let’s keep going.

The atonement was completed upon the cross, yet we have been taught to not focus upon the cross, nor wear the cross. There is more emphasis placed upon the garden of Gethsemani rather than the cross. Let’s learn more about this.

According to the King James Version (KJV) and the core teachings of the Bible, the Atonement of Jesus Christ was fully accomplished on the cross at Calvary. Hebrews 9:12, 26 and John 19:30 are clear: Christ’s sacrifice was once for all, sufficient to pay for sin completely.

The Garden of Gethsemane, while critical, was where Christ suffered in anticipation of the cross, taking upon Himself the emotional and spiritual weight of mankind’s sin (Luke 22:44). It was part of His obedience and submission, but it did not complete the Atonement—that happened when He said, “It is finished” on the cross (John 19:30).

The LDS perspective, which emphasizes Gethsemane as the place where the Atonement was “begun” or where Christ suffered the penalty for sin, differs from the KJV biblical teaching. The Bible teaches that the actual payment for sin, the final act of reconciliation with God, was completed on the cross.

Can you see how satan is creating the deception of the garden being the place, to take away from the importance of the cross? There was a great amount of time spent warning me and others growing up to stay away from the cross, and that it actually was a reminder of something terrible: HIS death, rather than hold it high in respect as being the place where He fulfilled the atonement. This is a victory for satan. YOU HAVE BEEN DECEIVED! …and More…

We need the church to make it into ”Heaven.” No one can receive the highest salvation without the church, temple ordnances, rituals, and the process of repentance through the church system.

John 14:6 KJV “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

1 Timothy 2:5 KJV “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

This makes it clear that Jesus Himself is the bridge—there is no human institution needed to access God’s grace.

Ephesians 1:7 – “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”

Psalm 103:12 – “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”

Isaiah 43:25 – “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.”

The point is this: your repentance and faith in Christ alone is what allows God to forgive. No church membership, ritual, or intermediary is required. YOU HAVE BEEN DECEIVED! Want more?

I’ll conclude this writing after just one more example. This one is a personal one, as it was my own experience.

I lost my temple recommend because I had paid my tithing directly to those who needed it; A homeless shelter in SLC, as well as a Woman’s shelter nearby. The bishop stated that this didn’t count as tithing, as it needed to be paid directly to the church.

When pressed, the bishop agreed that if Jesus were with us, He would agree that what I had done would certainly qualify as tithing, but he stated that he was just doing as he was instructed by church officials.

So, I must ask you…Do you believe that if you are not current with your tithing, that you will be burned at His coming?

There is no place in the King James Bible where it says that failing to pay tithing will cause someone to be “burned at His coming.” That teaching is an invention of men, not God’s Word.

Here’s what the KJV actually says:

Malachi 3:8–10 talks about Israel robbing God in “tithes and offerings,” but this was spoken directly to the nation of Israel under the Old Covenant law. It was part of the Levitical priesthood system, not a New Testament commandment for the church.

2 Corinthians 9:7 (KJV): “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” Paul makes it clear that giving is voluntary, from the heart, not a forced commandment.

Romans 6:14 (KJV): “For ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

Nowhere in the New Testament are believers told that their salvation or protection at Christ’s return depends on paying tithing. Our standing before God is entirely through the blood of Jesus Christ, not through financial contributions.

Salvation is by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9 KJV), not by tithes, works, or church ordinances.

In short: Tithing was an Old Testament practice. Christians are called to give willingly, but there is no threat in the Bible that Jesus will burn or destroy those who don’t tithe. YOU HAVE BEEN DECEIVED AGAIN.

This doctrine actually exposes something very un-Christ-like about the church. Tithing is a revenue for the church, rather than a commandment from God. The fact that I was fulfilling the call of tithing by helping those in need did not satisfy the requirement for me to have a temple recommend. It was “Payment Due” directly to the church that was needed. If the church didn’t receive my tithing money, it did not qualify as tithing, and I would loose my temple recommend.

For the church to impose a false doctrine such as being burned at His coming, and doing it under the name of Christ is spiritually offensive to God, for that is not His gospel at all.

I know this is a long writing, but let’s do one more.

Temples are of utmost importance, and necessary for us to receive spiritual blessings and rewards. They are also necessary to achieve the highest degree in “Heaven.” Is this true?

The King James Version (KJV) teaches about temples and why they are no longer needed for worship and access to God.

1. The Old Testament Temple

In the Old Testament, the temple (and earlier the tabernacle) was the central place where God’s presence dwelt among Israel.

God’s glory filled the temple (1 Kings 8:10–11), and sacrifices were offered there for sins.

The temple was a shadow pointing to Christ. Hebrews explains that these things were “patterns of things in the heavens” (Hebrews 9:23–24).

2. Christ Fulfilled the Sacrificial System

  • The temple’s sacrifices were continual, because the blood of animals could not take away sins:

“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.” (Hebrews 10:4)

  • But when Jesus came, He offered Himself once for all:

“But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.” (Hebrews 10:12)

This means there is no more need for a temple priesthood or sacrifices.

3. The Veil Was Torn

  • At Jesus’ death, the veil in the temple tore from top to bottom:

“And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.” (Matthew 27:51)

  • The veil separated man from God’s presence. Christ’s sacrifice removed that barrier. Now, through Him, all believers have direct access to God.

4. Our Body is the Temple

  • Instead of going to a building to meet God, the New Testament says believers are the temple:

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you…?” (1 Corinthians 6:19)

God no longer dwells in temples made with hands, but in His people.

5. God Dwells Not in Man-Made Temples

  • Paul said clearly in Acts:

“God that made the world and all things therein… dwelleth not in temples made with hands.” (Acts 17:24)

This shows a complete shift from the Old Covenant temple to the New Covenant reality in Christ.

6. Heavenly Temple

  • The earthly temple was only a copy of the true heavenly one:

“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.” (Hebrews 9:24)

Jesus is our High Priest in the real temple—heaven itself.

Temples are not needed anymore because Jesus Christ fulfilled their purpose. He tore down the veil, ended the sacrificial system, and now dwells in believers through the Holy Spirit. We do not need a physical temple to approach God—through Christ, we already have direct access to Him. YOU HAVE BEEN DECEIVED

I invite you to pray about the things that I have written. Drop the ego, and realize that you have been deceived due to satan’s cleaver plan to deceive the very elect. This might be difficult, as it required that I work through this realization myself, after participating in this church my entire life.

Spend your time studying Christ’s Gospel, as written in the New Testament. Anything outside of those teachings is not necessary and likely false doctrine.

The difficulty in breaking away from the churches teachings just showed me how “Brainwashed” or conditioned that I really was. They had their hooks in me deep, and it showed as it was difficult to accept at first.

There is only one truth, and that truth doesn’t change. Christ taught the truth when He was on the earth, and there was no need for any change. Just because a person believes that their church is true does not change the truth. The church teachings are false, and “That’s the truth.”

Is there any danger in staying in a gospel that is so comfortable for you? You are the one that has to answer that question, by considering this: The church has already deceived you, and when it comes to the grand finale, it is my belief that they totally intend to do the same thing, only this time, they want you to take the mark of the beast, giving your very soul to satan. Are you willing to take that kind of chance?

Intellect, the mind of man, his deductive reason, his logic, his fleshly expectations; even his dissection of the Word needs God’s perspective to shine the light. Romans 8:5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
There is then a great need to put to death man’s previous attempts at dominion regarding life, AND MORE THAN EVER MATTERS OF FAITH.
FOR THIS REASON WE MUST FIRST RETURN TO THE CROSS, AND NEVER LEAVE IT, IN ORDER TO GAIN A RIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS / YESHUA.
    Romans 8:11-13
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of[a] his Spirit who lives in you.
12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.
13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
