In Maine as in Minnesota, Villains Are in Control

It bears repeating: Where Democrats secure power, the bad guys are in charge. Government represents criminals, not their victims. In Maine, they even have illegal aliens serving as law enforcement.

A Maine sheriff has ignited controversy after publicly acknowledging that multiple people working within his department may not have been legally authorized to be in the United States, including at least one corrections recruit who was arrested by federal authorities…

No wonder Governor Janet Mills doesn’t like ICE arrests. They can be embarrassing.

[Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce] did not specify how long the individuals had been employed or what duties they held, but the admission has sparked outrage online, particularly among critics who argue that law enforcement positions carry authority over American citizens and require the highest level of vetting.

As for legitimate law enforcement, via the Robinson Report:

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows is now refusing to allow agents to have confidential license plates on their unmarked vehicles.

The point is to facilitate obstruction of law enforcement. Dysfunctional Minnesota provides the template that Democrats throughout the country intend to follow:

In Minneapolis, left-wing protesters have developed a system for identifying and tracking federal agents — a system that has created violence between agitators and law enforcement. The goal of the system is to “de-arrest” illegal aliens and prevent their deportation from the U.S.

Criminals who are in the country legally also benefit:

Bellows’ decision to unmask federal law enforcement has impacted the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Coast Guard, and other agencies, regardless of their connections to immigration enforcement. The unmasking has left agency leaders scrambling to protect the identities of undercover agents who may be involved in investigations ranging from child pornography and child sex abuse to interstate drug trafficking and firearms trafficking.

Speaking of unmasking, Mills has spoken against letting ICE agents wear the masks that protect agents (and their families) from harassment — not to mention assassination (bounties are offered by foreign criminal cartels). That is how malevolent the Democratic Party has become.

Unsurprisingly, the Somali welfare fraud exposed in Minnesota appears to be flourishing in Maine.
