‘Each Migrant Has a Story Worthy of a Hollywood Movie’

With the revelation of every new detail, the tragic story of the murder of Elisabeth-Jane Ross at the hands of self-described jihadist Sharif Ahmadzai becomes more of a parable about the perils of mass Muslim migration and the willful ignorance of European (and American) officials regarding the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat.
The Red Cross is busy covering its tracks these days, and it’s easy to see why. The Daily Mail reported Thursday that the much-praised agency “has deleted a film tracking the journey of an Afghan migrant who is now accused of killing a British woman and hiding her body in a suitcase in Greece.” Yeah, I can see how that might cause the Red Cross some public relations difficulties; so many people are so terribly “Islamophobic” these days.
The Mail goes on to fill in this particular story’s gruesome details, which are much like the gruesome details of so very, very many other stories: “Sharif Ahmadzai, 26, was arrested on Monday over the murder of Scottish Christian Elisabeth-Jane Ross, in Athens. Ahmadzai, a professional boxer who arrived in Greece on a small boat in 2016, is accused of killing Ms Ross before stuffing her body into a suitcase and ditching it in a derelict building. The 38-year-old’s body was found by a homeless man on July 18, three days after she is believed to have been killed.”
That is all quite terrible enough in itself, but now it has come to light that the Red Cross tried to make this same man, Sharif Ahmadzai, into a hero, and a poster child for why Europeans should happily and compliantly accept mass Muslim migration: “It has now emerged the Afghan-national collaborated with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and a London artist to create a film following how he escaped Afghanistan and reached the Greek island of Lesbos aged 15.”
That’s right: the Red Cross made a movie star out of a migrant in order to sell the mass migration project, and then, just as sure as if he had been working for those revolting “Islamophobes,” the movie migrant turned around and demonstrated why the mass migration of Muslims into Europe is a bad idea.
“The four-minute animated film, named Game of Life: The Story of Sharif, was first shown on YouTube in December 2016, and includes a narration of his six-week migrant crossing.” So it was there for nearly ten years, convincing untold numbers of people that it would be a fine and even noble thing to bring Sharif Ahmadzai and many other young men like him into Europe.
The film makes its case, as you’d no doubt expect, by portraying Sharif Ahmadzai as a victim: “The sympathetic video follows how his father, who was a military commander, was killed in an ambush and his mother and siblings were killed by a suicide bomb attack in Kabul. Ahmadzai, accompanied by friends, was then smuggled out of Afghanistan’s capital and journeyed through Iran and Turkey, before he reached a refugee camp on Lesbos, named Moria.”
Once safely there, poor Ahmadzai could finally relax and share his remarkable story with the world: “The interview was conducted in Moria, and took place after Ahmadzai had been in the camp for six months. The video opens with, ‘each migrant has a story worthy of a Hollywood movie.’”
Yeah. The Red Cross was happy to feature Sharif Ahmadzai in a propaganda film designed to gain support for mass migration. It never occurred to them that he may have been a jihadist, and if the possibility even crossed their minds, they dismissed it as “Islamophobic.”
Their prejudices and false assumptions led them to assume that Ahmadzai was simply and solely a victim, an entirely harmless object of the affection and regard they lavished upon him in order to reinforce their image of themselves as good and even noble people, so vastly morally superior to those bigoted “Islamophobes.”
Elisabeth-Jane Ross paid with her life for these delusions. Before she did that, she had dedicated her life to perpetuating them, and acting upon them. Before this is over, many other young women in Europe will pay the ultimate price also for these same delusions. Men, too. And it all could have been so easily avoided.
