And: Like all elections, particularly midterm elections, the results come down to turnout. The president made his closing argument to Sean Hannity. President Trump: When I’m on the ballot, as you know, I’ve won every time and we get 50 percent more votes than when I’m not on the ballot. So, I’m just asking everybody to pretend that I’m on the ballot. And in a way I am because no tax on tips, no tax on Social Security for our great seniors, no tax on overtime. All the things that we’ve done, everything gets erased. The estate tax is gone for the bombers and for the small businesses. So many things we’ve done—all of that’s going to be wiped out. We have the hottest country anywhere in the world. They got to get out. Pretend I’m on the ballot, do whatever you want, but we have to vote. If our people vote, we win in a landslide (Fox News).

USA Today sums up Trump’s campaign blitz: Since Trump announced his midterm blitz in September, he has traveled to 31 places for different political rallies, including Dallas for the Republican midterm convention, according to an analysis of his public schedule compiled by Factbase (USA Today).

The notoriously unreliable and certainly corrupt pollsters are calling it for the party of hate.

Nate Silver—who is representative of the conventional wisdom—is looking for a “blue tsunami.” Silver on the last set of polls from NYT/Siena: they showed what can only be described as fantastic numbers for Democrats, putting them ahead — sometimes narrowly, sometimes not — in basically every Senate battleground and in the associated governor’s races, including in Texas (Silver). Trump pollster John McLaughlin is not conceding in any respect: I think we should hold the Senate like 52, 53 seats…. and we should be able to hold Alaska and Maine. So, the Senate should be ours and the House will be kicking ourselves that we unfunded some races where congressionals could have picked up and we didn’t fund some gubernatorial races. But it all depends on the Trump voters getting back out to avert this national catastrophe. If these big government socialists come back in, these are the guys that shut us down during COVID. These are the guys who basically kicked off inflation, who raised energy prices, who’s cut off oil and gas drilling, et cetera. If we want to give them a second time to come out and redo the four years of the Biden administration, shame on any Trump voter who stays home. We got to get out (Johnson).
