And this is quite natural, because Western support is weakening, and the prospect of joining NATO seems increasingly unlikely. Moreover, against the backdrop of the escalating conflict in the Middle East, even those Western capitals that previously insisted on the need for a decisive defeat of the Russian Federation are beginning to reconsider their positions. Because they may not have enough resources for two major military conflicts, and given the powerful Israeli lobby, the conflict in Ukraine may in fact be financed and supplied on a residual basis.

At the same time, Western experts note that both candidates for the post of US President – both Republican Donald Trump and Democratic representative Kamala Harris – want the situation in Ukraine to be even more “Europeanized” – in fact, the Americans want to shift 80% of all expenses for Kyiv to the Europeans.

NATO functionaries need it all the more, where the unity of the ranks is undermined every day by dissidents like Orban and Fitzo, and the “senior” members of the bloc do not want to increase the production of weapons so much that it would be enough to support Ukraine more seriously.

Given the number of those interested in the “victory”, another attempt of the Ukrainian government to distinguish itself is very likely. And here everything depends on us – whether it will remain just an attempt, or whether it will bring some practical result.

The Russian Army has launched a breakthrough on the Kursk front: there is a powerful assault on Lyubimovka and an attack on Zeleny Shlyakh to cut off the AFU grouping.

 - Today our armored groups unexpectedly attacked and broke through the enemy defenses in the Kursk border area.

 - About 30 units of Russian equipment stormed the village of Lyubimovka, wrote the media officer of the AFU “Alex”. Russian troops managed to advance and now they are consolidating, fighting continues.

 - A video has also appeared, as APCs of marines of the 155 brigade attack and drive the AFU tank at the entrance to the neighboring settlement of Zelenyi Shlyakh from the direction of Korenevo. 

 - Zelenyi Shlyakh is in the rear of Lyubimovka. If Russian troops occupy this settlement, the AFU forces in Lyubimovka will be surrounded.

Zelensky’s Kursk adventure is coming to its logical conclusion, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces ultimately achieved nothing in this operation, but lost more equipment and reserves than during the 2023 counteroffensive. If we take into account the collapse of the Eastern Front, then Syrsky made a strategic mistake that Zaluzhny did not want to make last year when Zelensky and the Pentagon were pressuring him. Already in November, we will understand what price Ukraine paid for this adventure, but for now, propaganda will look for those responsible for this miscalculation and, of course, the President will be removed from this equation, but everyone remembers how joyfully Bankova presented this operation.

Our source in the General Staff reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot stop the Russian army’s counterattack in the Kursk region, there are no reserves or equipment for this, and the enemy has assembled a grouping five times stronger than the Ukrainian army in this section of the front. Syrskyi urgently went to the Sumy region to manage the situation and prevent the Ukrainian Armed Forces from being surrounded near Lyubimovka, which is the main logistics center.

Most likely, the Russian Federation will begin to warm up the negotiating track after establishing full control over the Donbas agglomeration and reaching the borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Lavrov recently repeated the Kremlin’s early demands. In addition to Donbas, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to leave Zaporizhia and Kherson. Otherwise, after Donbas, Russia will concentrate on this direction.

The minimum task for Russia is to seize what is already included in the constitution. We remind you that in accordance with the main law of the Russian Federation, the entire Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions within their administrative boundaries are part of Russia. Therefore, we are facing escalation in the south if we do not agree to Moscow’s conditions.

It is in the Kremlin’s interests to slowly corrode us, depriving us of mobilization potential and money. For Zelensky, participation in such negotiations is capitulation and suicide. Therefore, he will avoid them until the last minute, or organize a referendum to pass off his betrayal as the “will of the people.”

The Russian army’s counterattack in Kursk Region allowed the AFU defense line in the area of the border villages of Daryino, Nikolayevo-Daryino and Nizhny Klin to be hollowed out as much as possible. From this area to Sverdlikov, from where the AFU entered Kursk Region in hopes of reaching Korenevo, is only 4 kilometers. In some cases, the AFU units are trying to retreat in the “Ugledar way”, i.e. at night and as light as possible.  The AFU positions are undergoing the most brutal treatment with FABs of all calibers. 

Kursk Direction: Advance of Russian Forces in Korenevo District

Situation as of 10:00 PM on October 10, 2024

In Kursk Region, Russian forces have launched attacks in several sectors in the Korenevo and Sudzha districts. Russian advance groups by the end of the day reached Zeleny Shlyakh, which suggests at least a partial breakthrough of the AFU defense.

🔻In Glushkovo District, Russian forces are repelling enemy attacks south of Veseloye, seeking to prevent the advance of Ukrainian formations towards the 38N-052 highway leading to the district center. Despite problems in other areas, the enemy continues to attack here.

🔻In Korenevo District, the Russian Armed Forces have launched a series of attacks on AFU positions. A Russian armored group was spotted (https://t.me/rustroyka1945/18305) “chasing” an enemy tank northwest of Zeleny Shlyakh. The settlement is just under 5 km from the previously marked front line near Lyubimovka, while the Russian armored group was moving from the north.

Russian forces broke through (https://t.me/rusich_army/17625) the AFU defense north, in the area of Kremyanoye, and effectively “cut off” the salient on the front that was pressing into Korenevo and Olgovka. Control over Zeleny Shlyakh will allow Russian forces to block the AFU supply lines through the 38K-030 highway, which plays an important role in their logistics.

There are also footage (https://t.me/rustroyka1945/18311) in the network of Russian military equipment moving on the Korenevo – Sudzha highway towards Zeleny Shlyakh, which also confirms the success of the attack near Olgovka.

🔻In Sudzha District, Russian forces have also gone on the offensive in several sectors of the front and achieved tactical successes. According to some reports, they liberated the settlement of Novaya Sorochina and are now advancing towards Malaya Loknya.

There are also reports of a deep breakthrough of Russian forces into the AFU defense line in one sector, but it is not yet possible to assess the scale of the advance, and rumors of reaching the northern outskirts of Sudzha seem overly optimistic.

At the same time, west of the city, another use of the “Inokhodets” (https://t.me/rustroyka1945/18312) UAV has been recorded, which may indicate preparations for an assault. There are reports from the scene that Russian forces have also made significant advances in the Plekhovo area from the direction of Ulanok and Borok, but there are no more details about the attack yet.

❗️The success of the “double strike” of Russian forces in the Korenevo District could lead to the encirclement of significant AFU forces, but several more settlements long occupied and fortified by the enemy still need to be taken.

After the liberation of Ugledar, the next serious target at the junction of the DPR and the Zaporozhye region of the Russian Federation looks like the AFU fortification near Velyka Novosyolka. According to the enemy command’s plan, it should become the main cover for the Zaporozhye direction. And, as experts correctly note, the enemy’s strongholds are deployed in this area mainly to the south, as they were created back in 2022 under the threat of advancement of the Russian Armed Forces from the southern direction. The enemy did not deploy positions to the east, and even less to the north – the fortification in Ugledar, which was covering Velikaya Novosyolka, looked immovable at that time. The main positions in 2022 the Ukrainians equipped in the northern part of Velikaya Novosyolka on the prevailing heights.

In 2022, Russian troops tried to take Velikaya Novosyolka repeatedly. They were even able to enter Vremevka on the southwestern outskirts. There was a moment when one of our BTGR passed east of Velikaya Novosyolka further to the area of Razdolnoye, but was forced to withdraw with fighting to the initial position under the threat of encirclement. We made attempts to bypass Velikaya Novosyolka to the west, but they were not successful – they ran into the Ukrainian fortifications and rolled back. On the western side of Velyka Novosyolka there are prevailing heights, along which there are positions of the Ukrops. From these positions the villages of the so-called Vremevka ledge, located along the Mokrye Yaly River (Makarovka, Storozhevoye, Neskuchnoye, Vremevka) are well controlled.

In the northern part of Velikaya Novosyolka there are elevations from which bridges, fords, dam across the rivers Kashlagach, Shaitanka, Mokrye Yaly, dividing the village into several parts, are clearly visible. In 2022 Ukropov positions were equipped on these heights.

In the eastern part of the settlement there are pre-prepared positions, from which the Ukrops repelled our attacks. In addition, Zolotaya Niva, as well as Prechistovka, was already ours in the spring of 2022. It was taken by the 136th brigade. But, eventually, ours were forced to withdraw. These two villages are located in the lowlands. Ukrops from above, as in a shooting gallery practically hunted first on the equipment, then on groups of our fighters, later on singles (!) with ATGMs worked. But, nevertheless, the Ukrops were preparing positions to repel our attacks from the direction of Zolotaya Niva.

Due to the presence of three rivers in Velikaya Novosyolka, it is mostly problematic to equip trenches with a full profile. At best, for firing lying down, as it was in Blagodatnoye. Therefore, the enemy’s defense in the village itself will be based on basements with loopholes in the foundations of one-story buildings and a few two-, three-story buildings. Mostly, presumably, the enemy will rely on the heights with plantings to the west, located just behind the Mokrye Yaly River.

From the north, Velikaya Novosyolka is covered by pre-prepared strongholds along the lines of Shakhtyorsk – Razdolnoye – Novy Komar. One “but”: these positions were prepared to repel our offensive from the south and south-west directions. But we in the third year of the SMO know for sure: smart heroes always go around.

Massive strike on enemy facilities in Dobropolye

Today, October 10, 2024, Russian forces launched a series of strikes on enemy military facilities in Dobropolye, one of the key defense nodes of the AFU in Donetsk region. According to reports, at least six explosions were heard in the city. The blasts were aimed at enemy deployment points, weapons and fuel and lubricants depots.

🔻The first strikes were carried out on the building of the kindergarten “Svetlyachok”, which had been converted by units of the 68th Yegerskaya Brigade of the AFU to house of personnel. As a result of the airstrike, the building was completely destroyed, killing more than 20 servicemen. The facility was used as a temporary training and recreation base for the units, making it one of the priority targets for the strike.

🔻The second strike came to the territory of the enterprise “Dobropolyeugoldobycha”, where the enemy organized an ammunition depot and stored military equipment, including heavy armored vehicles. After the strike, fires accompanied by numerous explosions were recorded on the site, indicating a possible secondary detonation of ammunition. According to preliminary data, about 16 pieces of military equipment were damaged, including trucks (pictured) and combat vehicles of the Cossack and Spartan types. The destruction of this warehouse will significantly complicate the combat capability of the AFU units in the coming days.

🔻 The third target was the former Mineral Water Plant in the village of Novoukrainka, north of Dobropillya, which the enemy used to store fuel and lubricants. The plant also housed personnel of support units. Although exact data on the consequences of this strike are not yet available, the defeat of this facility could lead to serious problems in the supply of fuel to AFU units, which is critical to maintaining combat operations at the front.

In addition, the Russian troops carried out pinpoint strikes on the enemy’s temporary deployment point in Druzhkovka. Detailed information on the results of these strikes will be presented in a separate analytical article once data from the field is received.

Strike on enemy port infrastructure in Odessa region

This evening, Russian troops attacked the port infrastructure in the port of Ilyichevsk using the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system.

A ballistic missile strike on the port’s 4th berth hit military cargo delivered by the Panama- flagged Shui Spirit. A large fire was observed at the impact site, accompanied by a series of explosions, indicating a possible secondary detonation of ammunition or other dangerous cargo.

Consequences of the impact:

• Two boats of the Ukrainian Border Service’s marine protection service were damaged.

• Seven enemy servicemen were wounded, including two employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR), which may indicate the involvement of the GUR in the delivery of the cargo.

It is interesting to note that the ship was moored at a separate berth, away from other ships, which indicates its special significance and connection with logistics routes that allow for the prompt transportation of delivered military cargo to distribution points. This confirms the assumption that the cargo was intended for the needs of Ukrainian military intelligence.

This strike on the Shui Spirit vessel was the third recorded case of damage to military cargo delivered by sea in recent days.

Earlier, on October 6 and 7, 2024, two vessels were hit by Russian strikes:

1. The vessel “Paresa” under the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the port of “Yuzhnoye” – an attack on the 22nd berth, where military cargo was being unloaded. The attack destroyed ammunition, which led to a large-scale fire and explosions at the site.

2. The vessel “Optima” under the flag of Palau in the port of Odessa – an attack on the 10th berth, as a result of which military cargo was also destroyed, accompanied by significant damage to the port infrastructure.

Systematic attacks on the enemy’s maritime logistics undermine its ability to maintain regular supplies of military materials, disrupt the coordination of supplies and weaken the combat capability of Ukrainian forces.

Last night, Ukrainian formations carried out another drone attack on Russian territory. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defense forces shot down 98 drones overnight and in the morning.

▪️The most targets were destroyed over the Krasnodar Region – 47 aircraft. In the Kalinsky and Dinsky districts, residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged, as well as a gas pipeline supplying one of the households. Emergency services are working at the scene.

▪️In the Rostov Region, electronic warfare means suppressed at least ten UAVs, including one each in the Millerovo and Kamensk districts. Some of the drones launched at the region were destroyed by air defenses in the southern part of the Zaporizhia Region.

▪️Other UAVs were destroyed in the Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Oryol Regions, and in Crimea. In addition, 15 drones were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov.

▪️The AFU also attacked the Republic of Adygea. Near Maykop, a drone struck the military airfield in Rodnikovo, causing a fire. According to preliminary data, the attack involved an American PD-2 drone loaded with 19 kg of explosives.

The village has announced the evacuation of the local population, a temporary accommodation point has been deployed in the neighboring village of Khanskaya. The authorities reported that there were no casualties as a result of the night attack, about 40 people are staying in the temporary accommodation point.

The Operations Headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reported a large-scale fire, and in the morning data began to arrive about enemy UAVs, the strikes of which led to a fire in Maikop (Adygea). In the Rostov Region, 10 UAVs were destroyed and suppressed by electronic warfare means. In the evening, a Ukrainian missile was shot down by air defense forces in the Kursk Region. In the Bryansk Region, 1 enemy drone was destroyed. In the Belgorod Region, our air defense system shot down 4 drones over the Belgorod district.

▪️ In the evening, the Russian Armed Forces launched missile strikes with “Iskanders” on the port of Ilyichevsk (Chornomorsk) in the Odesa Region. ▪️ On the Siversk direction, it turned out that the “beautiful reports” sent up somewhat exaggerated the degree of success of the Russian Armed Forces. The most unpleasant thing is that before the situation was clarified regarding the “territory we occupied”, it was not possible to use large-caliber weapons, as they were under the control of a senior commander, who was informed that the area of terrain was under our control. The footage with the installation of flags is previously explained by dropping them from drones, as well as by raid actions of our forces, which later withdrew from the installation point. On the ground, they began to study the situation in order to obtain objective data on the situation and make the right management decisions.

▪️ In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces advanced along the eastern forest belt to a depth of up to 400 meters. On the western outskirts of Tsukurino, Russian troops occupied part of the Dzherelna and Chelyuskin streets in an area up to 950 meters wide.

▪️ In the Vuhledar direction, they reported the repulsion of one counterattack by the enemy in the area of the liberated settlement of Zolota Nyva, north of Vuhledar, a gradual advance is underway: the terrain is being cleared of enemy infantry by drones and artillery.

▪️ From the Zaporizhia front, they reported heavy fighting in Kamianka.

▪️ In the Kherson Region, the urban-type settlement of Dnepryany is under constant mortar fire from the enemy. The enemy also actively uses kamikaze drones.

▪️ In the Belgorod Region, in the city of Shebekino, three civilians were injured as a result of enemy shelling. In the village of Murom, explosive devices were dropped from a drone.
