Woe to the Shepherds

The Lord says to the shepherd’s of His flock who feed themselves, should you not feed the flock?
You eat sumptuously every day, clothing yourselves with fine apparel yet you do not feed the flock, the weak you have not strengthened nor have you tried to tend to the sick.
You push aside those which are broken and do seek those which are lost.
With lies and with force and cruelty you have ruled over them.

Because of this the faithful of the flock were scattered because there was no shepherd, and my flock became food for all of the wild beasts of the fields.
My people wander through the mountains and across every high hill, they wandered over the face of all the world and no shepherd was searching for them.

Now hear this you worthless shepherds, because My people have become a prey and because they became food for all of the wicked beasts of the field, because there were no shepherds who searched them out but only those who fed themselves and not my flock, therefore hear the word of the Lord you shepherds, “ I am against the shepherds and I will require My flock at their hand. I will cause them to stop feeding My sheep and they will feed themselves no more. For I will deliver my flock from their mouths so they will not be food for them anymore.
I Myself will seek out my flock as a Shepherd does on the day his flock is scattered. I will seek them out from the wilderness and from the mountains to which they fled. I will bring them from all the nations were they have gone.
I will bring them into good pastures, I will feed them on all of the high hills, there they shall lie down in a good fold and eat food on all my high hills. I will feed my flock and make them to lie down.
I will find those which were scattered, I will bind up those which were broken and heal those which were sick.
I will destroy those who are fat from feeding themselves and I will destroy those who are strong from among them who lead My flock astray, I will feed them in judgment.
To you My flock, I will judge between sheep, between rams and goats, is it to much that you have eaten up the good pasture and tred down under foot the remnant of the good pasture.
Is it to much that you have muddied the springs of fresh and living waters so that other could not drink?
You continue to foul the residue with your feet. As for My flock they eat what you have trampled and they drink what you have spoiled with your feet.
Therefore, I will judge between the fat and the lean sheep, they have pushed aside and butted all of the weak ones and young and caused them to be scattered abroad. Therefore I will gather them and judge between sheep and sheep.
I will establish one Shepherd over them who will feed them, My Son, He shall feed them and be their Shepherd; and I the LORD will be their GOD.
I will make a covenant of peace with them and I will make the wild beasts cease from hunting them and they will sleep comfortably in the woods.
I will feed them and give them rain in its season, showers of blessings. Then the trees of the field will yield its fruit and the fields will yield its increase.
They shall know that I am the Lord their God when I have broken their yoke and broken asunder their bands of those who enslaved them.
In that day they will no longer be a prey for the nations nor will the wild beasts devour them anymore.
They shall dwell safely and none shall make them afraid.
I will raise up for them a garden of renown and they will bear their shame no more.
They will know that I am with them and that I am the LORD their GOD. ”
