Centimeter-Scale Organized Structures in a Meteorite Slice: Evidence for Artificial Fabrication

The yellow-arrowed features appear as discrete, bounded units embedded within the meteorite matrix. They recur with comparable dimensions and maintain clear margins, distinguishing them from diffuse crystalline patterns or shock-related textures.

Reference object: the meteorite slice itself, with known real-world dimensions 11.8 cm (long edge) × 10.0 cm (short edge).
Assumption: the photographed face is approximately planar and viewed near-orthogonally (reasonable for a polished slab).

Procedure

1. Identify the long edge of the slice in the image and measure its pixel length (P_L).

2. Measure the maximum width of each yellow-arrowed feature in pixels (P_F), perpendicular to its long axis.

Results (conservative range)
Across multiple yellow-arrowed features, (P_F/P_L approx 0.17text{–}0.25), yielding:

Known terrestrial wood structures are orders of magnitude smaller:

• Typical vessel elements: ~50–500 µm

• Exceptional fossil conduits: ≤1–2 mm
  No documented natural wood cell or vessel bundle approaches centimeter scale while retaining discrete boundaries. The measured 2–3 cm size therefore excludes biological wood anatomy.

Established meteoritic features (e.g., Widmanstätten patterns, shock veins, melt pockets, sulfide nodules) are governed by crystallization, diffusion, or impact mechanics and characteristically lack:

• Repeating, bounded modules at centimeter scale

• Consistent internal organization across multiple units

The observed features instead show modularity, repetition, and sharp interfaces inconsistent with these processes.

Given (i) decisive scale mismatch with biology, (ii) lack of correspondence to meteoritic textures, and (iii) organized, modular morphology, the most parsimonious explanation is artificial, man-made structuring preserved within the meteorite material.

Scale-anchored pixel-ratio measurements demonstrate that the yellow-arrowed structures are ~2–3 cm across. This size alone excludes natural wood cells and, together with morphology and repetition, supports a man-made origin.
