Chicago Cubs 1st baseman makes postseason history against the Brewers
The Chicago Cubs have their backs against the wall after falling 2-0 to the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Division Series. The Cubs will send right-hander Jameson Taillon to the mound to act as a stopper in Game 3.
Taillon will need him to pitch the game of his life to hold off elimination and help the Cubs advance to the National League Championship Series.
Getting out to a 4-1 lead against the Brewers in Game 3, the Cubs had a little help from their leadoff hitter, first baseman Michael Busch, to get the scoring started, as he made postseason history in his first at-bat of Game 3.
Busch makes postseason history to spark a rally for the Cubs
After the Brewers got out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, with Sal Frelick driving in Christian Yelich on a sac fly, the Cubs tied it up in the bottom half of the inning with Busch hitting his second home run of the postseason. According to MLB.com’s Sarah Langs, Busch is the first player to hit multiple leadoff home runs in the same series in a single postseason.

Busch has had a fantastic postseason for the Cubs, slashing .313/.389/.688 with an OPS of 1.076. This is Busch first every postseason.
