John Metchie looks like a dude. Twitchy, fast, good hands, and he plays like he’s trying to take someone’s job every snap. Love this guy.
Adonai Mitchell has real traits at WR. Big, very fast, sudden. Hands & effort feel a little shaky, so the range of outcomes is wide. If it clicks, he’s a #1 type-talent. If it never does, he’s a No. 4. Either way, he’s been a nice surprise for a throw-in.
Malachai Moore looks like a player. Azareye’h Thomas does not look out of place at all. JoWon Briggs has me forgetting Quinnen Williams was ever on the roster. Harrison Phillips has been a pure clog in the middle. Brandon Stephens can play. Jarvis Brownlee has that unhinged defensive edge you want on a good unit. Membou has been a beast.
Bottom line, we’ve got a GM with an eye for talent and the nerve to move two of the most overrated Jets I’ve ever watched for a pile of draft capital. That’s how you reset a roster the right way.
Now launch Tony Adams, Jamien Sherwood, and this coaching staff into space. Give us a strong draft and a smart free agency, and we might actually have a team next year.
