Former Chicago Bears starter could get the nod against his former team
The Chicago Bears will likely be lining up across from a familiar face Sunday afternoon against the Cleveland Browns.
As Cleveland continues to try to find the right combination of offensive linemen in front of rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders, former Bears offensive lineman Teven Jenkins is in line to make his second start of the season at Soldier Field.
Jenkins, 27, got the start last Sunday afternoon in the Browns’ 31-29 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

So far this season, Jenkins has appeared in 13 games, including making his first start of the 2025 campaign against the Titans.
According to Pro Football Focus, Jenkins has allowed four pressures and one quarterback hit, in 77 pass-blocking snaps so far this season.
“I rotated Teven throughout the game. I wanted to see Teven in this game,” Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski recently told reporters, when he started working Jenkins into the rotation when Cleveland played the San Francisco 49ers. “You know, obviously want to always get our guys as many reps as we can.”
Cleveland signed Jenkins to a one-year deal worth just over $3 million, after he became a bit of the odd-man-out amid the Bears’ offensive line overhaul that included trading for All-Pro Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson, as well as signing Drew Dalman in the early days of free agency.
Jenkins spent the first four seasons of his career in a Bears uniform, after being chosen by Chicago in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, out of Oklahoma State, with the No. 39 overall pick.
