Chicago Bears accused of hiding DJ Moore’s injury after concussion evaluation
Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore declined to talk to the media following the team’s 20-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in overtime.

The veteran wide receiver was not present when the media was in the locker room on Monday following the Divisional Round loss.
Moore received heavy criticism for his route on the interception Caleb Williams threw in overtime that allowed the Rams to march down the field and score a game-winning field goal.
Earlier this week, Bears head coach Ben Johnson blamed himself for the error that happened on the final offensive play. Danny Parkins said a Bears source told him that the route was a part of a new concept, and Oduzne was confused on what to do on the play.
Former Chicago center Olin Kreutz thinks there’s another explanation as to what happened with Moore. He thinks the veteran receiver was still suffering through an injury caused earlier in the game.
Per the NBC broadcast of the game, Moore was in the blue medical tent for five minutes being checked for a concussion after hitting his head on the sideline. He returned for the next drive.
“I watched the film over and over again, sent a few films to guys with DJ Moore getting hit on that sideline, his head whipping back, hitting the sideline, and the next time they’re tapping him, dumping him right on his head,” Kreutz said on 670 The Score.
“So I know that he was injured… The thing is, that concrete over there, that’s not where the field is warm. So obviously, DJ is fighting through a lot of stuff. I think (general manager) Ryan Poles told you that pretty much right at some things you can’t say some reasons why.”
Was Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore being a good teammate?

Kreutz suggested Moore would put the Bears in a bad situation if he told the media he was playing hurt. He’s being a good teammate by not talking to reporters.
“That’s why you haven’t heard from him,” Kreutz said. “He can’t say that. The team can’t have him say that. It puts them in jeopardy, right? The doctors and everyone who works for the Chicago Bears.
“Now, everyone’s questioning the whole building. Why would you put him back on the field? I tell you right now guys, you ain’t keeping me out of that game, right?”
.@olin_kreutz explains the reason DJ Moore didn’t speak to the media in the aftermath of the Bears’ season-ending loss is because, “He can’t come out and say, ‘I was hurt but I was playing.’”
“That puts the team in a bad spot, so he’s still being a team player,” Kreutz says. pic.twitter.com/AaWQHRogPi

At some point, Moore will be asked about what happened with Chicago. Whether he’s a part of the Bears at that point is unknown.
