Chicago Bears: ESPN makes clear prediction on Packers wild-card matchup
The Chicago Bears are stumbling into the playoffs with a two-game losing streak.

The Bears suffered a 19-16 loss to the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field on Sunday, one week after the San Francisco 49ers beat them 42-38 on “Sunday Night Football.”
The Bears’ opponent, the Green Bay Packers, lost its final four games of the regular season, including a 22-16 loss in overtime to Chicago in Week 16. The Packers have not been the same since blowing a lead in Week 15 to the Denver Broncos when Micah Parsons suffered a season-ending ACL tear.
Per DraftKings, the Bears are a 1.5-point favorite over Green Bay.
However, ESPN doesn’t think Chicago will beat its NFC North rival.

ESPN analytics give the Bears a 45.3-percent chance to win on Saturday night. The Packers have a 54.7-percent chance of moving on to the divisional round.
ESPN gives the Bears 22-1 odds of winning the Super Bowl. Their Football Power Index chance to make the Super Bowl is 7.7-percent.
Despite being the No. 7 seed and needing to win all three NFC playoff games on the road, ESPN’s FPI gives Green Bay a 10.1-percent chance of making the Super Bowl. ESPN is giving the Packers 22-1 odds of winning the Super Bowl, the same as the Bears.
Chicago enters the playoffs with the No. 2 seed in the NFC, but the national media does not believe the team is a serious contender. The Bears beat the No. 3 seed and defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles 24-15 on Black Friday.
While the Bears deserve more respect after winning 11 games in head coach Ben Johnson’s first season with the team, it’s clear Chicago will need to win its first postseason game since 2010 before it finds more believers.
