Chicago Bears announce major season ticket price hike

Chicago Bears president Kevin Warren is turning away from 2025 to start construction of a new stadium.

The Chicago Bears‘ first NFC North championship since 2018 and first playoff win since 2010 came at a significant price for fans.

With the Bears paying head coach Ben Johnson $13 million per year and trying to find funds to build a new stadium, CEO/president Kevin Warren revealed that the price of season tickets is going way up for the 2026 season.

Via Adam Jahns of CHGO Bears, the team will raise season ticket prices by an average of 13.5 percent for next season.

“Through detailed analysis and market research, we will implement an average increase of 13.5 percent on our season ticket packages for 2026,” Warren wrote in a letter to fans. “We are scheduled to host nine regular season home games and one preseason game at Soldier Field.

“Our goal is to host more playoff games at Soldier Field during the 2026 season. We embrace the challenge of playing a first-place schedule, which will be one of the most difficult schedules in the NFL next season.”

Warren hopes fans pay the higher prices to keep home-field advantage at Soldier Field.

“Fortunately, we have the best home-field advantage in the NFL, thanks to you,” he wrote. “We look forward to creating many more memories together. Detailed season ticket renewal information will be distributed to
your account later today.”

Chicago Bears season ticket prices shouldn’t come down soon

Don’t expect prices to come down anytime soon, even when the Bears host games at a new stadium (if that happens).

Despite being the third-largest city in the United States, Chicago’s NFL team has the lowest capacity in the league with 62,500 seats. Rumors suggest the Bears intend to build a new stadium with 65-70,000 seats, allowing the team to artificially keep prices high to watch the team.

The Bears should be good next season with Caleb Williams returning for his third year in the league. At least fans should feel happier leaving the stadium than paying to enter.
