Chicago Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent has been the talk of Indianapolis.
As the NFL Combine kicks into gear, the quarterback market has taken center stage, with impending free agents such as Malik Willis, Daniel Jones, and others potentially set to cash in because of a lackluster class of incoming rookies at the position. Against the backdrop of nearly a dozen teams potentially shopping for a quarterback this offseason, Bagent is a player the Bears have sounded open to trading in the weeks ahead.
One report suggests that Chicago might already have an offer in hand for Caleb Williams’ backup.

As new Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur aims to build out an offense around former first-round draft choice Marvin Harrison Jr. at wide receiver, finding a quarterback or stocking a deep quarterback room could be a top priority.
According to a report from PHNX Cardinals, Arizona has offered the Bears a day-three pick in the 2027 NFL Draft that could become a third-round pick, if Bagent reaches a certain number of starts this upcoming season.

Whether Bagent ultimately becomes a starting quarterback elsewhere, or a bridge to a quarterback that some team aims to draft this spring remains to be seen.
But, as the quarterback market continues to sizzle in Indianapolis, the Bears find themselves in the enviable position of holding a high-value asset in a low-supply year.
While Poles has built a reputation for “doing right” by his players, much like he did with Justin Fields, the leverage created by a lackluster rookie class and a desperate Arizona team could push the return for Bagent well beyond the typical price tag for a backup.
It sounds, though, like Bagent’s market is already taking shape.
