Chicago Bears emerge as the betting favorites for Maxx Crosby
One of the hottest storylines this offseason involves Las Vegas Raiders’ star pass rusher Maxx Crosby. Trade rumors regarding the All-Pro surfaced ahead of the 2025 NFL Trade Deadline and while Crosby was not moved, those rumors are back and have started to pick up as the new league year is approaching.
At the center of those rumors are the Chicago Bears among a few other teams.
Reports have connected the Bears as well as the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles among others to show interest in Crosby. A trade for Crosby is going to cost a team at minimum a first round pick plus more picks and potentially a player or two. The Raiders are reportedly seeking a Micah Parsons-like trade which cost the Green Bay Packers two first-round picks as well as Kenny Clark.

When looking at the betting odds on DraftKings, Chicago is now 2/1 favorites to land Crosby at +200. Those were updated on Tuesday morning just a week before the league year officially begins. What’s interesting is the next team for Crosby is the Raiders. That would mean him getting traded to Chicago or staying with the Raiders are the two best odds as of right now.
Other teams odds include the Los Angeles Rams, Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens and Eagles at +700. The New England Patriots are at +1000. The Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are +1200.

But here’s what we have to note. The odds are really based on who is betting what. It means that more people are betting the Bears to land Crosby, driving the price of the odds down.
For the Bears, trading for Crosby is tricky as well.
Chicago is roughly $6M over the cap right now. They have to make some moves to get under the cap and then again to clear the space for Crosby who has a $30M cap hit for the 2026 season. Moving on from Tremaine Edmunds would create about half of that space. The Bears would also likely have to move on from DJ Moore and Tyson Bagent. Both have also been included in rumors.
