The Chicago White Sox have reportedly added a major boost to their pitching staff. It looks like the team’s top pitching prospect is slated to be promoted to the big leagues.

According to Elijah Evans of Just Baseball, the White Sox will be calling up top prospect Noah Schultz.

The 22-year-old prospect is slated to make his MLB debut when the southsiders return to Chicago to face Tampa Bay in a three game series.
The White Sox are calling up top pitching prospect Noah Schultz to make his MLB debut on Tuesday, sources tell @JustBB_Media and @FutureSox.
The 22-year-old lefty has pitched to a 1.29 ERA with 19 K through 14 innings this season in Triple-A.

This comes as not a surprise due to Schultz having a dominant start to the season in AAA with Charlotte. This also isn’t a surprise due to opening day starter Shane Smith being demoted earlier in the week.
In Schultz’ first three outings in Charlotte, the top prospect threw 19 strikeouts in just 14 innings with a 1.29 ERA.
The hope in Chicago is that Schultz becomes an instant factor in the rotation. The lefty pitcher is the number two ranked prospect in the White Sox’s system and will hopefully bring fans some much needed excitement.
