Chicago Sky’s Kamilla Cardoso has strong reaction to Indiana Fever news
Kamilla Cardoso is having an impressive WNBA career. The Chicago Sky drafted her at No. 3 in 2024 and has since been one of the franchise’s cornerstones.
The 6-foot-7 center made a name for herself in college as a game-changer with the South Carolina Gamecocks. She won two national championships and earned NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors in 2024. Cardoso also earned her spot in the first-team All-SEC and was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year.
Her success carried over to the pro level. Cardoso became a member of the WNBA All-Rookie Team and established herself as one of the league’s best young centers. She is expected to lead the Sky to a potential playoff push this season and turn them into perennial postseason contenders.

Cardoso was pleased by the news the Indiana Fever announced on Monday. The team signed her former Gamecocks teammate, Bree Hall, to a developmental contract.
The Brazilian star dropped a two-word reaction on Instagram.
“LETS GOOOOO 🔥🔥,” Cardoso wrote.

The duo played under Dawn Staley from 2021 to 2024, helping the program win two national championships. The Fever selected Hall in the second round in 2024 but waived her a year later. She suited up for the Golden State Valkyries last season.
Hall will have the opportunity to further improve her game and prove she deserves a roster spot. However, Indiana has a lot of depth at the guard positions. She needs to showcase her prowess on both ends of the floor in the 12 games she will be eligible to play this year as a development player.
Meanwhile, Cardoso and Chicago kicked off their regular season with a 98-83 win over the Portland Fire on Saturday. The star center led the way with 22 points and 14 rebounds. They’ll aim for back-to-back wins on Wednesday against the Valkyries.
