Camp Notes: Lane Continues Impressive Summer as Offense Rebounds

Today’s session at 1 Winning Drive was far more action-packed than was yesterday’s. The offense got back on track, though there wasn’t a clear winner between the two sides of the ball.

Ja’Kobi Lane was once again a huge practice standout. He had two really nice 1-on-1 reps, sending Marlon Humphrey slipping to the ground on an in route, then beating T.J. Tampa over the top.

He also made the craziest play of the day, hauling in a pass a foot or so behind him with one hand while falling toward the sideline.

Devontez Walker also had a nice practice. He caught a go-ball from Tyler Huntley with outstretched hands and caught multiple passes throughout all periods.

Mark Andrews was sure-handed and often-targeted by Lamar Jackson today.

Keyon Martin was one of the defensive backs who really showed out. The 2025 UDFA out of Louisiana shot through the line to stuff a toss play early, and also had a really nice pass breakup against Xaiver Guillory. Later on, he sniffed out a wheel route to Adam Randall and forced a wide throw from Huntley.

Nate Wiggins seemed to be everywhere as well. He nearly had an interception until Jaylinn Hawkins collided with him over the middle and broke it up. Wiggins was down briefly, but returned to practice soon after.

Wiggins was one of the best in the league during his rookie year, but took a bit of a step back a season ago. Now, The Ravens are looking for him to move back into the spotlight.

“I’m the most confident I’ve ever been,” Wiggins said after practice.

Mike Green had some reps today that really impressed me. The bend he has on some of his rush moves is pretty absurd. Even when he gets a little too wide, if he’s able to force the quarterback to step up into guys like Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones, and Calais Campbell, it will be just as beneficial.

David Olajinga, a member of the International Pathway Program, had a stellar day as well. He bulldozed through John Simpson to get into the backfield on a run to start the day. Soon after, he intercepted Jackson on a really fun sim pressure from Jesse Minter. To round out his day, he knocked down a screen pass intended for Derrick Henry.

Toward the end of practice, Tyler Loop lined up from 57 yards out on the left hash, and knocked it through with just enough leg.
