Trump – the US demanding Venezuela cut ties with Russia and China
BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | January 7, 2026: The United States Trump administration is demanding that Venezuela cut economic ties with Russia, China, Iran, and Cuba if it wants to pump more oil, reported on Tuesday by ABC News, citing three people familiar with the White House’s plan to rule the country from Washington DC.
The Trump White House has demanded that Venezuela partner exclusively with United States on oil production and also favor the US when selling crude oil. President Donald Trump has insisted that American companies must have access to Venezuela’s oil industry, which according to him, was unfairly nationalized by Maduro’s predecessor, Hugo Chavez. …
“The military operation, without a declaration of war or a UN Security Council resolution, represents an illegal act of armed aggression of a terrorist nature,” noted Venezuelan Prosecutor General Tarek Saab.
Regarding the UN Security Council on Monday, Russian envoy Vassily Nebenzia described the kidnapping of Maduro as “a cynical crime that cannot be justified.” And the Chinese envoy Sun Lei also condemned the US for its illegal action, saying that its actions in Venezuela pose a threat to peace and security in the region.
