In Case People Have Forgotten What Democrat “Affordability” Means
Democrats are banking on high gas prices due to the war in Iran to make voters susceptible for their “affordability” pitch. Larry Kudlow provides a jog for those whose short-term memory might require it:
“You know, Democrats today think they’re winning the midterms on affordability. But the last time they had the reins of power, they spent $7 trillion — monetized by the Powell Fed — that created a 9% inflation peak and over 21% cumulative inflation. They complain now about gasoline prices, but they did everything they could with their radical climate change greenie policies to end fossil fuels altogether and tax gasoline to death in the meantime.”
It isn’t just the business in Iran that inflates gas prices and thereby everything else. Kudlow pointed out that gas in Democrat-dominated California is $2 above the national average.
When prices went up far faster under Democrats, we got nothing in return. At least Trump has delayed the day a boat floats up to an American port with an Iranian nuclear bomb on board. The resulting economic chaos would launch prices into the stratosphere.
Who knows? Trump might stop goofing around and take out the threat altogether.
