Where the Chicago Bears’ Odds Sit for Next Season

While fans will always want more, it’s fair to say that the Chicago Bears exceeded most expectations for the 2025 NFL season. Winning the NFC North – quite comfortably – was unexpected, particularly in a division that was considered the toughest in the NFL over the past few seasons. Making the Playoffs, too, was a mild surprise, especially after the disappointment of the 2024 season, where the Bears started well but suffered something of a collapse in mid-season.

Nonetheless, the Bears became a postseason team, delighting fans and neutrals with late-game comebacks and a never-say-die attitude. It hasn’t changed the mood music to outright optimism, but there is certainly more than one reason to be hopeful. But what do neutrals think of the Bears’ chances going forward? What do the betting odds say for next season?

Bears will hope to do one better next season

While we have yet to complete this season, with Super Bowl LX odds for the Patriots vs. Seahawks still live, some sportsbooks have released odds for Super Bowl LXI, which will be held on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in California. For fans of the Bears, it makes for some interesting reading, though there are several caveats when reading futures odds this far in advance.

Anyway, the main takeaway is that the Bears are ranked as +2200 chances to win the Super Bowl next season. Those aren’t huge odds by any stretch, lower than both the Patriots and Seahawks at the beginning of this season, for instance. Moreover, the Bears’ Super Bowl odds at the beginning of this season were +4000, indicating that the sportsbooks see the Bears as showing progress.

Yet, we mentioned caveats, and there are several. The first is that the betting markets are – let’s use the word “tentative” – at this point of the year, and much will depend on how individual teams address issues across the next eight months. Some teams are still searching for new head coaches, DCs, and OCs, and there is always going to be movement in free agency, trades, and the draft.

Super Bowl odds will move over the coming months 

As such, the odds are somewhat top-heavy at the moment. There is no clear favorite for next year’s Super Bowl, which is understandable since we don’t yet know who has won this year’s championship game. But what’s interesting from the Bears fans’ perspective is that both the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions have been awarded shorter odds than the Bears. The Vikings are a team in transition, and they are slightly behind.

A sign of disrespect, given the Bears topped the division? It’s up for debate, but it’s worth remembering that they went 2-4 against divisional rivals in the 2025 regular season. The Lions, in particular, had a bit of an unlucky season, and their fans will hold a firm belief that they can bounce back.

In the end, we will have to wait and see what Ryan Poles and his staff decide to do in terms of bolstering the options. We do expect movement in the Bears’ odds by the time we reach September, but the question is, in which direction? That’s the burning question that could decide whether the Bears become locked-in playoff contenders next season and beyond.
