WNBA: Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever issue causes a stir

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was baffled by her team’s latest highlight clip on Instagram, and she made it known in the comment section.

The 24-year-old guard is currently rehabilitating this offseason after an injury-filled sophomore campaign. Clark battled a left quad strain, a left groin injury and a right groin issue that ultimately ended her season.

In 13 games, she averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals.

Meanwhile, Clark has stayed active on social media throughout her recovery. The sharpshooter recently gave some honest thoughts on the Fever’s low-quality highlight clip featuring teammate and fellow WNBA All-Star Aliyah Boston.

Caitlin Clark blasts Indiana Fever’s “migraine-inducing” clip of Aliyah Boston, fans react

Clark’s latest social media moment came at the expense of the Fever’s Instagram team. Indiana paid homage to two-time All-Star Boston by sharing her best career blocks in a Fever uniform.

Boston has been dominant for Phantom BC in Unrivaled, leading the league with 24 blocks and averaging 2.0 per game. While the tribute was well-intentioned, the execution was another story.

The video appeared warped and distorted, and it caught Clark’s attention immediately. The Des Moines, Iowa, native did not hold back.

“Now I have a migraine,” Clark wrote in the comment section.

She then doubled down on the struggling clip, adding: “Respectfully, how am I supposed to watch this?”

Even Boston herself could not escape the video’s effects. The 6-foot-5 center responded to Clark with laughing-crying emojis, writing: “Gave me the biggest headache.”

Fans wasted no time siding with Clark.

“I’m asking the same thing,” one fan agreed.

“Thank u for keeping it real lmao,” another wrote.

The wonky clip soon elicited even more hilarious responses on the Fever’s post.

“I’m convinced it’s rage bait,” one user declared.

“Looks like they had y’all playin on a 20ft goal,” a fan added.

“Got everyone looking like Wemby,” another chimed in.

Clark’s candid reaction was funny, but it was also very on-brand. The two-time All-Star never misses a chance to bring personality to her posts, reacting authentically to viral moments.

Her unfiltered presence on social media has made her one of the most relatable stars in women’s basketball.
