Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22)

Caitlin Clark has been a Kansas City Chiefs fan since she was a kid. In 2023, she shared the story of how her family supported the team in her younger years. The Indiana Fever superstar compared the Chiefs’ mix of strong quarterback and tight end play to her Iowa Hawkeyes team.

Clark also watched several Chiefs games at Arrowhead Stadium in the past few seasons. She garnered a lot of attention when she attended the Kansas City-Detroit Lions home game in October with Taylor Swift.

The Chiefs are coming off a disappointing campaign, missing the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era. The quarterback suffered a torn ACL in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams. However, Mahomes is working hard to try to be ready for Week 1 of the new NFL season.

Caitlin Clark reposts Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 1 schedule

Kansas City announced its Week 1 schedule for the 2026 season on Tuesday. The team will clash with the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium for the campaign’s first “Monday Night Football” matchup. Clark reposted it on her Instagram story.

On March 26, the Chiefs acquired Justin Fields from the New York Jets. He is expected to serve as Mahomes’ backup. Kansas City also strengthened its roster by signing Kenneth Walker III in free agency. The running back just completed a Super Bowl MVP run with the Seattle Seahawks.

Travis Kelce also agreed to a one-year deal on March 9 to return for what could be his final season. He’ll look to lead the team back to the playoffs to further cement his Hall of Fame career.

Meanwhile, Clark is expected to watch Chiefs games live. She continues to support the team and is clearly also excited for a bounce-back year. It all starts with the Week 1 matchup, which the two-time WNBA All-Star looks forward to.
