Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams joined thousands of fans at Soldier Field on Sunday night to watch Bruno Mars perform. The Grammy-winning superstar brought “The Romantic Tour” to the iconic lakefront stadium on May 16 and 17.
The two shows, which were both sold out, were among Chicago’s biggest entertainment events this spring. Tens of thousands of fans filled the venue each night to see the 40-year-old pop icon perform live. Mars delivered a setlist featuring hits such as “Just the Way You Are,” “Treasure” and “24K Magic.”
The Chicago stop marked his first stadium tour in more than a decade. The tour itself has already made history. It shattered Live Nation’s record for single-day ticket sales during its initial pre-sale, with 2.1 million tickets sold.
Initially scheduled for 39 dates, the tour was expanded to more than 70 stops across North America. Mars will soon visit other major cities, including Atlanta, Detroit, Miami, Nashville, Tampa and Philadelphia. The historic run began April 10 in Las Vegas and is set to end in Mexico City in December.
Caleb Williams’ one-word reaction to Bruno Mars’ show in Chicago
Following the show, Williams posted a short clip on his Instagram story showing the 16-time Grammy winner singing on stage. The Bears star kept his reaction simple, writing just one word on the video that carried high praise.
“Legend,” Williams captioned his post.
The 24-year-old quarterback frequently attends concerts and music festivals during his time away from the field. In April, Williams’ appearance at Coachella caused a stir among Bears fans. It came after he was spotted in a VIP area with reality TV stars Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Williams hanging out with the Jenner sisters sparked online discussion about the so-called “Kardashian curse.” It is a pop culture myth claiming that athletes or celebrities linked to the Kardashian-Jenner family experience career setbacks.
Fans urged Williams to stay away from the sisters, with many expressing concern about potential distractions ahead of the 2026 season. They said they want to avoid anything that could negatively impact the team, especially their quarterback.
