Chicago Cubs predicted to have 3 players named to 2026 MLB All-Star Game
The Chicago Cubs are riding a six-game win streak and currently are 23-12. Their latest hot streak has them sitting in first place of the ultra competitive National League Central Division. Over the course of the last couple of weeks, multiple players have started to gain national attention for their strong performances.
Before the season began, many predicted that the Cubs would win the NL Central due to their strong roster. Since overcoming their slow start to the year, multiple players are starting to gain national attention and early-season All-Star predictions.
The Chicago Cubs have 3 players predicted to be National League All-Stars

Over the course of the past several weeks, multiple Cubs players have emerged as team leaders offensively and defensively. In order for them to overcome their horrid start, they needed these players to remain consistent while the rest of the roster around them figured it out.
Now that they are in first place, three Chicago stars are predicted by Bleacher Report to represent the Cubs in the MLB All-Star Game.
Nico Hoerner
Considered by many to be the best second baseman in the game, Nico Hoerner is also a MVP candidate. Despite this, he is not predicted to be the starting second baseman for the National League. BR predicts that will be Milwaukee Brewers star Brice Turang.
Hoerner, though, was predicted to be named as a reserve. He is currently hitting .299/.369/.460 with four home runs, 27 RBI, and seven stolen bases.
Ian Happ
Winner of the last four NL Gold Gloves in left field, Ian Happ is off to a strong start to the 2026 season. He is currently hitting .242/.377/.500 with eight home runs and 15 RBI.
While his batting average is around where it has been the last few years, his on base percentage is 35 points higher than his career average, and his slugging percentage is on pace to be the best of his career.
Shota Imanaga
When the Cubs extended the one-year $22 million qualifying offer to Shota Imanaga this off-season, many fans were upset. He had a down year in 2025 and fans were not sure he would be worth the salary.
It sure is a good thing they retained him, though. Amidst numerous injuries to the starting rotation, Imanaga has been a stabilizing force. He is currently 3-2 with a 3.20 ERA and 0.85 WHIP.
