The Indiana Fever have made their biggest move of the WNBA offseason, and it involves Aliyah Boston. The three-time All-Star is considered a cornerstone piece for the franchise alongside Caitlin Clark. The fact that the Fever have signed her to an unprecedented four-year, $6.3 million deal is a testament to this. Boston now owns the richest contract in the history of the WNBA.
Boston joined Indiana in 2023 as the first overall pick of the WNBA Draft. She made an immediate impact, winning the Rookie of the Year title in her first season. In 2025, with Clark mostly sidelined throughout the campaign, Boston finished sixth in the MVP race. She averaged 15.0 points on 53.8% shooting, 8.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 30.2 minutes per contest.

Clark was one of the first Fever players to congratulate Boston after the big news. The two-time All-Star took to social media to share her reaction to Boston’s new deal.

Boston caught wind of the message, and she responded to Clark with just two words.

The Fever will be back in 2026 with their core intact. Clark and Boston will lead the charge. Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham will all also return after signing new contracts in free agency. Indiana also added a number of new recruits, while also bringing in three rookies via the draft.
Boston’s deal, however, confirms that she will remain in Indiana beyond 2026. She is a key cog for this team’s future, and the Fever are spending a lot of money to lock her in for four more years.
