OTL: New Uniforms and One Final Mock Draft Friday
Welcome back Ravens Flock. today we have our final Mock Draft Friday of the season and my reactions to the Ravens’ new uniforms.
First up, fashion.

Overall these look really good. I didn’t expect something insanely drastic to change because I do think the Ravens have one of the best uniform color combos in the league, but I love the extra details added. I love the wings on the neck and the new colors on the outline of the numbers look nice as well. I especially love the black helmets with the Ravens red eyes piercing through on it.
All in all a good update to one of the best uniforms in the NFL.
Now with that out of the way, let’s dive into this Mock Draft:

Alright, so this first-round pick is apparently controversial now, so I guess let’s talk about why it’s not. I have seen some hate going around the Ravens fanbase on Twitter about Ioane, and I am here to set the record straight: this is, by all means, an excellent pick. If you honestly think Ioane isn’t worth a first-round pick or is too high for a guard, then let me say this: throw positional value out of the window for this class. This can also apply to the people complaining about TE Kenyon Sadiq as well. In this class, the GMs are throwing positional value out of the window.
So yes, a guard can go in the top 14.
Now, another point is that some fans think the Ravens have invested too much in the guard position, and that is when I just sit back and laugh. Did we watch the same Ravens team last year? We all saw how two terrible guards in He Who Must Not Be Named and Andrew Vorhees ruined the offense single-handedly, right? That wasn’t a dream I had? Listen, guys, I like Emery Jones. I think the former staff completely fumbled his development in year one; however, he is a third-round second-year player with little experience on an NFL field. I hope he is great, but he doesn’t stop you from taking Ioane. Yes, it is also true that the Ravens have an overpaid guard, in my opinion, right now: John Simpson. I don’t care about Simpson if the player is good enough. Ioane, in my estimation, is good enough right now that he can be a plug-and-play starter and either kick Simpson to the bench or beat out Jones:

Ioane is the best pure guard in the class and would elevate the o-Line into a very good unit.
During the simulation, I saw a player I’d been wanting to get for some time, and I finally got him. I had to give up a fifth to move up two slots, but for Denzel Boston, it’s worth it. Boston is the type of receiver the Ravens should target. A big-bodied pure Wide Receiver that can catch:
Washington X-WR Denzel Boston (6-4 209) waited his turn behind Rome Odunze, Ja’Lynn Polk, Jalen McMillan, & Germie Bernard; all drafted in the first three rounds of the Draft

With these two picks, I believe the offense can absorb the losses of Tyler Linderbaum and Isaiah Likely and become a more balanced attack. The Ravens also had a top-30 meeting with him, so yeah, this pick is perfect.
We have already taken Orange in a couple of mocks, so you know by now what makes him good—a big, strong nose tackle who can get pressure as well.
Malik Muhammed is a type of Corner that Jesse Minter has had a ton of success within LA: a late-day two Corner with good size and speed who needs development. Muhammed fits that mold to a tee and could get on the field earlier than expected. Gulbin would be the athletic center. Even though he has played guard as well, he has played center in the past, and he would do that in Baltimore. Raridon is an athletic freak who just needs to stay healthy. Gumbs is a power rusher with good run defense, Shelton is a great developmental Tackle in the late rounds. Barton is almost built like a safety and needs to spend the next year in an NFL weight room, and Nowakowski is solid depth at Tight end.
I hope you guys all enjoyed my Mock Draft Fridays, as we are less than a week away from the NFL Draft and potentially the most important one in a long time for EDC & Co.
