Chicago Bears make D’Andre Swift announcement before NFL Draft
The 2026 NFL Draft is now just one week away, and the Chicago Bears are gearing up for one of the most important events of the offseason. The Bears have seven picks in the upcoming draft, including the 25th overall pick in the first round. They have two picks in the second round, and one each for rounds three and four. They close out their selections with two picks in the seventh round.
Last year, the Bears struck gold with Colston Loveland as the 10th overall pick. The former Michigan Wolverines star has now established himself as one of the top young tight ends in the NFL. Wide receiver Luther Burden III was another standout pick in the second round, while running back Kyle Monangai proved to be a major bargain as a seventh-round selection.
D’Andre Swift was another key player for the Bears in 2025, helping the team clinch its first NFC North title since 2018. The Pro Bowl running back made 16 starts in the regular season, registering a career-high 1,087 yards and nine touchdowns on 223 carries. The 26-year-old also added 299 yards and one TD on 34 catches.
D’Andre Swift will join the Chicago Bears Draft Party
Swift was a second-round pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he is now set to help build the excitement for next week’s big event.
The team announced on Thursday that Swift will make an appearance in the Chicago Bears Draft Party on April 23 at Soldier Field. Swift will grace the event alongside Cole Kmet, Monangai and a few other Bears players. The announcement was made via an Instagram story by the Bears.
The party will start at 6:00 p.m. local time. There will be multiple activations in the venue, where fans can win prizes. Supporters will also get the chance to see Swift and other Bears players who will take part in the festivities.
As of this writing, only general admission tickets are available for purchase on the team website. They are priced at $60 each.
