Chicago Sky draft Latasha Lattimore in second round of 2026 WNBA Draft
The Chicago Sky continue to add talent throughout the 2026 WNBA Draft as they have three draft picks on the night. After making one pick and adding a guard, the Sky decided to add some size to their roster as well. The Chicago Sky drafted Ole Miss forward Latasha Lattimore in the 2026 WNBA Draft
The Chicago Sky have added some size in the second round of the 2026 WNBA Draft. With the sixth pick in the second round, the team selected Ole Miss forward Latasha Lattimore. Lattimore played with the Texas Longhorns, Miami Hurricanes, Virginia Cavaliers, and Ole Miss Rebels over the course of five years.
Throughout her collegiate career, she averaged 8.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game. The 6-foot-4 forward will be expected to play some defense, potentially pairing up with Rickea Jackson at the wing position. She already is a force down low as her 74 total blocks in college last season was the second-most in program history. In addition, Latimore ranked inside the top 20 in the NCAA last year with 2.1 blocks per game.
The addition of Lattimore will help the team replace the production of Angel Reese, who the franchise traded away earlier this month to the Atlanta Dream. With the franchise looking to get better results, it will be intriguing to see how Lattimore will play in the Sky’s system going forward.
