Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White

Stephanie White is now entering her second season with the Indiana Fever. The former WNBA Coach of the Year joined the team ahead of the 2025 season, and she found success in her first year at the helm.

White dealt with a myriad of injuries on her team throughout the season. Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham were among five players who suffered season-ending injuries in 2025. Nevertheless, the Fever still won the Commissioner’s Cup for the first time in franchise history. They also reached the semifinals of the WNBA playoffs.

White came up short of leading the Fever to their first championship since 2012, but all things considered, it was an impressive debut season for the 48-year-old.

Monday was the second day of training camp for the Fever. Their preparations for the new WNBA season are now in full swing. There is currently a lot of anticipation heading into what they hope will be a deeper playoff run in 2026.

For her part, White is clearly hyped for the season ahead. The Fever coach was eagerly providing instructions to her players during practice on Monday.

The team posted a video of their coach on Instagram. White had a smile on her face throughout the training session and was in a visibly cheerful mood.

White’s behavior at training camp quickly drew the attention of fans on social media.

“Coach Steph about to break the mic and I’m here for it 💥🎙” a comment on Instagram read.

“Loving the energyyy 🔥🔥” said another.

“Coach Stephanie white can’t wait let’s go 🔥ðŸ‘ðŸ‘🙌⛹️‍♀️” a user wrote.

“She’s got me hyped!” a reaction read.

“Coach Stephanie is simply the best,” another declared.

“Such an amazing coach but you always know she wants to jump right in and play again!! ❤” a fan posted.

As indicated in the last comment, White played in the WNBA before becoming a coach. She spent much of her career with the Fever. She suited up for Indiana for four seasons, between 2000 and 2004.

White played a total of 112 games for the Fever, averaging 6.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
