Caleb Wilson sends bold message to Chicago Bulls fans
On Tuesday night the Chicago Bulls made it official by drafting former North Carolina star Caleb Wilson at No. 4 overall in the 2026 NBA Draft.
After weeks of speculation, the draft went how many thought it would go. AJ Dybantsa went first overall followed by Darryn Peterson and then Cameron Boozer. For Wilson, he has been mocked to go to Chicago for a while and even bought into the Bulls’ SLAP philosophy that Bryson Graham has brought over.
With the Bulls officially making the pick, it now ushers in a new era with Wilson being the center of it. Now, Wilson is sending a bold message to Bulls’ fans about the future.

Wilson isn’t the first former North Carolina player to be selected by the Bulls in the top five. Michael Jordan went No. 3 overall to the Bulls in the 1984 NBA Draft and went on to be considered the greatest to ever play the game. Now, we aren’t comparing Wilson to Jordan by any means. However, the new Bulls’ rookie did pay homage to Jordan as the GOAT while also offering some hope.
“I want to be the greatest of all time,” Wilson told the media via Joel Lorenzi. “Y’all got one of the goats in y’all history, so it’s time for another one.”
Wilson is referencing Jordan’s career in Chicago. He also wants to go down as one of the best to ever play in the NBA. If that’s the case, then the Bulls will be set up for success for a long time.
Bulls fans will get their first look at Wilson when the NBA’s Summer League officially begins in July.
