Ravens now trying to poach Chicago Bears coach: Report
Two offseasons ago, Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles deflected a question about whether he had any interest in head coach Jim Harbaugh.

“I haven’t talked to Jim,” Poles said. “He’s the coach of Michigan.”
The Bears kept Matt Eberflus that offseason. A few weeks later, Harbaugh joined the Los Angeles Chargers.
A former key member of Harbaugh’s staff is trying to steal a coach away from the Bears this offseason. The Baltimore Ravens hired former Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter to replace John Harbaugh.
Per Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Ravens requested an interview with Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle.
“The Ravens have put in a slip to talk to Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle,” Biggs posted on X.

But he’s the offensive coordinator of the Bears…
On Monday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that Doyle pulled out of the race to become the next offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles.

While Doyle would have had the opportunity to call plays for the Eagles, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN suggested on Monday afternoon that Doyle has a better chance to become a head coach next year if he stays where he is, coaching under Ben Johnson, than going to the Eagles.
However, the Ravens offer Doyle a better opportunity to showcase his offensive genius than the Eagles, who have questions with quarterback Jalen Hurts and could trade A.J. Brown this offseason.
Unlike in Chicago, Doyle would have the chance to call plays. He’d also get to work with one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Lamar Jackson.
It’ll be interesting to see if Doyle takes the Ravens up on their offer. It would certainly embarrass the Eagles.
Doyle, 30, finished his first season as an offensive coordinator in the league. He came over from the Denver Broncos last offseason, where he was a tight ends coach.
If Doyle succeeds in Baltimore next season, he might have a better chance of landing an elite job next offseason. Next year’s cycle could have steep competition for Doyle, as former Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott, former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, could be in the mix with other qualified coaches.
