Chicago Bulls could have two lottery picks in 2026 NBA Draft
The Chicago Bulls’ season is in the books as the franchise is making big changes ahead of the offseason. For the Bulls, they will enter the offseason holding the ninth-best lottery odds in a loaded draft.
Following Sunday’s results, the Bulls finished in that ninth spot which gives them a 20.3 percent chance at a top four pick and a 4.5 percent chance at the No. 1 overall pick. Those odds are certainly better than if they finished tenth, which they were in danger of doing. While Chicago has one lottery pick already, there’s the chance they could have another.
But they don’t have control of that situation. Instead, they will have their eyes on the Portland Trail Blazers.
How Portland Trail Blazers could lead Chicago Bulls to another lottery pick
On Tuesday night, the Trail Blazers will face off against the Phoenix Suns in the 7-8 play-in game. The winner earns the No. 7 seed and will face off against the San Antonio Spurs. The loser? They head to the next play-in game where they will face the winner of the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers matchup.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting for the Bulls. If the Trail Blazers win tonight, they will make the playoffs meaning their first-round pick would go to the Chicago Bulls. If they lose on Tuesday and win the next game, it would qualify them for the playoffs and the pick would go to the Bulls.
The Bulls could be conveyed a lottery-protected 1st round pick from the Trail Blazers if Portland (currently in 8th place) makes it out of the play-in this week
The pick originated from a 2021 deal that sent Larry Nance Jr. to the Blazers and is lottery protected until 2028

So any win in the play-in round gives the Bulls the pick and it will end up in the lottery. Bulls fans really should be cheering for the Trail Blazers here the next few days in order for that first-round pick to move to them.
