OTL: Ravens Players Get Sneak Peek at New Uniforms

We’ve reached the point of the offseason in which everything starts to slow down a tad before the NFL Draft comes into full swing.

You know it’s gotten to that point when the main story for the last week is something that seems reminiscent of a TMZ article. A married head coach seen holding hands and laying poolside with a married NFL reporter, hmmm.

The runner-up story, at least across social media, was the upholding of a ruling which said there wasn’t sufficient evidence of collusion when Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson, and Kyler Murray had their contracts negotiated in the offseason of 2022.

Perhaps the most interesting piece to come out of that story was that the Ravens offered Lamar Jackson two different three-year, fully guaranteed contracts, both of which he declined.

Jackson and the Ravens would end up agreeing to a five-year, $260 million contract with $185 million in total guarantees.

Since then, the price of the brick has risen even higher, and despite organizational confidence, there still seems to be little momentum in getting Jackson re-signed long term, although we may never hear another word until an extension actually happens.

Perhaps the biggest date circled on the Ravens’ calendar before the NFL Draft is the reveal of their new uniforms. This Thursday at the PSL Owner Exclusive Flock Forum, the organization will reveal its new attire.

I’m no professional lip reader, but it seems like Tavius Robinson says “the helmet” around the 29-second mark before he gets bleeped out.

I won’t lie, I’m a little nervous about the new change. The old uniforms are so classic, and it seems like every single combo is clean. With that being said, I feel like the organization knows that they have something good, and for that reason I doubt they go full modernization with the new uniforms.

All of the social media mockups I’ve seen have gone way overboard with the futuristic feel, and I’ve yet to like a single one of them. The best case scenario in my eyes would just feature a few small changes; don’t go overboard changing the font, and don’t ruin the classic Ravens look that has popped on the field for years.
