Will Chicago Bulls rebuild hit bump in 2027 NBA Draft?
The Chicago Bulls finally picked a direction. Since February, the Bulls decided to become sellers at the NBA trade deadline, moving key pieces. From there, they fired both Artūras Karnišovas and Marc Eversley, making some big changes ahead of the offseason.
With the rebuild all but officially initiated, it will be a VERY important next few offseasons for the Bulls. This year, they are going to finish either 9th or 10th in the lottery, giving them slim odds at a top pick. It’s clear this team needs a superstar and the fastest way to finding that is through the draft. While this 2026 draft is considered to be a strong one, the same cannot be said for 2027.
At least this early.
Is the 2027 NBA Draft considered weak for the Chicago Bulls?
The 2026 NBA Draft class is headlined by AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer, Darryn Peterson, Caleb Wilson, and Darius Acuff among others. All have that feel of being a potential superstar. But for 2027? Early indications are that this could be a ‘weak class’:

There will still be talent at the top, obviously. But looking overall, in terms of the landscape of this draft it might not be strong at all. That’s not great news for a team like the Bulls who have two picks in that draft. With the team likely not being very good again next year, they have to hope they can find a superstar if they get a top lottery pick.
Duke’s Cameron Williams and uncommitted recruit Tyran Stokes lead the way in most mock drafts. After that, it’s a crap shoot it feels like right now.
