Analyst says this prospect fits Chicago Bulls “like a glove”
After Sunday’s NBA draft lottery results, the Chicago Bulls find themselves in a good spot. They moved up from ninth in terms of the lottery odds to having the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
By moving up to No. 4, the Bulls will very likely have the chance to draft either Caleb Wilson or Cameron Boozer. It would be shocking if A.J. Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson didn’t go in the top two, setting up a big opportunity for the Bulls. Either way, it feels like they are going to get a potential star out of this draft, which is a good start to the rebuild.
But does one prospect fit them better than the other?
Caleb Wilson would be a perfect fit for Chicago Bulls per analyst
The consensus is that Wilson will go in the top four with the biggest question being if he goes to Memphis at three or Chicago at four. For Isaac Trotter of CBS Sports, he believes Wilson fits perfectly with the Bulls in terms of what they want in terms of players.
North Carolina star Caleb Wilson is going to knock the interviews and the athletic testing out of the park. The athleticism, the smile, the competitiveness, the ability to put his nose on the rim, it’s all there.
Wilson fits like a glove with what the Chicago Bulls are looking for under new general manager, Bryson Graham.
But will he get to No. 4 overall? It’s still the most likely outcome, but there’s no question that Wilson can surge even more with a strong week. He fits the profile of what each NBA team is looking for as a two-way wing with elite athletic tools and an insatiable desire to win. Can he vault past Peterson or Duke’s Cameron Boozer? It’s certainly not out of the question.
With Bryson Graham now in charge, he wants to install his SLAP philosophy, especially defensively. That fits in perfect with what Wilson can bring to the table as he showed at UNC.
Wilson is still raw in terms of a prospect but he’s not someone that will not need to sit much early on at all. But time will tell if he’s there at number four for the Bulls or not.
