Fever rookie Raven Johnson had no words for Angel Reese
Raven Johnson and Angel Reese had busy weekends. The Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream played their season openers on Saturday with contrasting results.
Johnson and Indiana lost 107-104 to the Dallas Wings, while Reese and Atlanta won 91-90 over the Minnesota Lynx.
The two-time All-Star posted an 11-point, 14-rebound double-double along with three blocks. The rookie guard, on the other hand, managed only four points, two rebounds and two assists in 12 minutes.
The Chicago Sky traded Reese to the Dream on April 6. She is expected to lead the team’s frontcourt as it aims to return to the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Fever drafted Johnson at No. 10 following a successful collegiate career with the South Carolina Gamecocks. She gives the Fever more backcourt depth and will likely be part of their rotation.

Reese turned heads with her pregame outfit on Saturday. She wore an eye-catching black-and-white dress that had a ribbon in front. She posted two photos and a clip of herself entering Target Center in Minneapolis.
“Game 1,” Reese wrote on Instagram.
Johnson used only five emojis in her reaction. She had no words for the Dream star.

The 6-foot-4 forward has also built a name for herself outside the basketball court. She debuted on the Victoria’s Secret runway in 2025 and secured endorsement deals with major brands. Reese launched her signature sneaker line with Reebok in September, marking the release of the “Angel Reese 1s.”
The Dream will visit the Dallas Wings on Tuesday, looking to start the season 2-0. The team will rely heavily on Reese again to provide a strong inside presence, with Alisha Gray running the plays.
On the flip side, Johnson and Indiana find themselves in an unexpected situation. They will face the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday with their eyes set on recording their first win of the season.
