Ben Johnson, Chicago Bears

On Monday, the Chicago Bears announced they signed two wide receivers to the 90-man offseason roster following rookie minicamp over the weekend.

The Bears signed former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Scotty Miller over the weekend. Miller won Super Bowl LV with current wide receivers coach/assistant head coach Antwaan Randel El on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played football at Barrington High School, in the Northwest suburb of Chicago.

Squirrel White was placed on the reserve/retired list. The former four-star athlete began his college career with Tennessee in 2022 before transferring to Florida State in 2025. The five-foot-nine, 177-pound receiver recorded 136 receptions for 1,717 yards and six touchdowns in college.

In addition to Miller, the Bears signed receiver Kyron Hudson and linebackers Wayne Matthews III and Jon Rhattigan.

Via the Bears:

“Joining Chicago as undrafted free agents, Hudson and Matthews participated in the Bears’ 2026 Rookie Minicamp on a rookie try-out basis. Hudson spent his final collegiate season at Penn State (2025) after starting his career at Southern California (2021-24).

“Over his collegiate career, Hudson appeared in 53 career games (19 starts), amassing 95 career receptions for 1,095 yards (11.5 avg.) and 10 receiving touchdowns. A native of Duarte, Calif., Hudson saw action in all 13 games last season at Penn State, starting six at wide receiver.”

The Bears selected receiver Zavion Thomas in the third round, looking to add speed to the unit this offseason. Chicago should have some serious competition for spots there on the 53-man roster after losing DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus this offseason.

The Bears also signed former Detroit Lions receiver Kalif Raymond in free agency. Thomas and Raymond should be battling for kick and put return duties this offseason.
