Chicago Bears to hit the road in Week 1 per report
Following a 2025 season in which the Chicago Bears won the NFC North and then beat rival Green Bay in the playoffs, the excitement is high this offseason for the team. As they prepare for year two of the Ben Johnson era, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of football.
We still have months to go before the games count but this week, we get a little taste of the 2026 schedule.
The NFL will release the schedule officially on Thursday night but slowly and surely the leaks are coming out. And the latest for the Bears reveals their Week 1 plans.
Chicago Bears to open on road at Carolina

For the first time since the 2021 season, the Bears will open up the season on the road. Per Jordan Schultz, the Bears will open at Carolina against NFC South champion Carolina Panthers. This is the first time the two teams have met in Week 1.
It will also be a battle of former No. 1 overall picks in Caleb Williams and Bryce Young.
While Chicago won the NFC North, the Panthers were able to win the NFC South last season. Young enjoyed a good year under Dave Canales despite them falling short in the playoffs against the Los Angeles Rams. This year, Young has a lot to prove and it feels the same still for Williams despite the success he had last season.
The rest of the Bears schedule will officially be announced at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night.
