Chicago Bulls: Cameron Boozer makes pitch to join team
With the No. 4 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls likely have two options for the selection.
BYU’s AJ Dybantsa is expected to go No. 1, and Kansas’ Darryn Peterson should go No. 2. Duke star Cameron Boozer appears to be the polished player and the guy most likely to go No. 3.
However, North Carolina standout Caleb Wilson needs more development than the first three, but could have a higher ceiling than anyone in the draft.
The Memphis Grizzlies pick at No. 3 and are set to make the decision on Boozer and Wilson. The Bulls would be happy with either and should be lucky to have the opportunity to have Boozer or Wilson to jumpstart their rebuild.
When speaking to reporters at the NBA Combine in Chicago on Wednesday, Boozer said he had a “good conversation” with the Bulls and that it would be “nice” to go to Chicago, via Matt Zahn of CBS Sports.
“If your team’s goal is to win a championship, I think I’m the guy,” Boozer said.

Carlos Boozer is the father of Cameron and Cayden Boozer, the latter of whom chose to return to Duke for a second season. He played for the Bulls from 2010 to 2014 and was a key part of their playoff teams during the Derrick Rose era.
The Bulls appear to be a popular destination for Wilson and Boozer, no doubt because of the team’s history and the marketing possibilities in Chicago.
Wilson has met with Rob Dillingham and Patrick Williams. He called Chicago a “great city.”
“Chicago is a great city. It would be a great place to play—nice marketing,” Wilson said. “I know some players on the team. So it definitely be a really cool opportunity. And I know a lot about Chicago. I know Mike (Michael Jordan) went here from North Carolina.
“I watched the Last Dance. So you know, I got a little bit of history in Chicago. It’s a great place for sure.”
One of those players is likely to play for the Bulls next season and could be a part of a championship run in the future.
