Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark played in just 13 games for Stephanie White last year during the latter’s debut season for the Indiana Fever.

White joined Indiana ahead of the 2025 campaign, coming off a highly successful two-year stint with the Connecticut Sun. In 2023, White won WNBA Coach of the Year after leading the Sun to a 27-13 record.

White returned to Indiana in 2025, marking the start of her second coaching era with the team. She served as the Fever’s assistant coach from 2011 to 2014, before being promoted to head coach for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. She left to take the head-coaching position at Vanderbilt.

White also suited up for the Fever as a player from 2000 to 2004.

Clark battled through injuries in 2025. This prevented White from fully utilizing her superstar point guard in what was their first season together.

Things are about to change this upcoming WNBA season. Clark is now fully healthy, and she is expected to lead the charge for the Fever in their quest for a championship.

Indiana Fever: Stephanie White addresses Caitlin Clark’s new accessory

Clark and the rest of the Fever were back on the practice court on Monday. They are now less than a week away from their first game of the regular season. They host the Dallas Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday.

Clark debuted a new look at practice on Monday. The two-time All-Star wore a black leg sleeve in practice, which quickly drew the attention of reporters in the practice facility.

When asked about Clark’s new accessory, White said that it’s nothing more than “a style thing,” per Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star. While there was some concern that Clark might be nursing an injury, White was quick to shut it down. “It looks good on her, doesn’t it?” added the Fever coach.

It is worth noting that Clark suffered a minor leg injury in their preseason loss to the Wings on Thursday. She limped off the court and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

Both Clark and White were quick to play down the issue after the game, though. The 24-year-old looked fine on Saturday as the Fever destroyed the Nigeria Women’s National Team in their final preseason matchup, 105-57.

Clark does not seem to be carrying any injury heading into Saturday’s season opener. It remains to be seen whether she will wear the leg sleeve for the first game of the campaign.
