Lexie Hull holds back tears during Indiana Fever interview
The Indiana Fever are four days away from the start of their 2026 campaign. They are back to full strength as Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham have fully recovered from their injuries from last season. Lexie Hull, who stepped up in their absence, is gearing up to continue playing an important role for the team.
She played in all 52 games in 2025, including eight in the playoffs. Hull averaged career-highs of 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals in 27.0 minutes.
The 6-foot-1 shooting guard is expected to come off the bench this year. However, head coach Stephanie White would likely still give her consistent playing time. Hull’s ability to play multiple positions was key to Indiana’s success last season.

Indiana Fever: Puppies almost made Fever’s Lexie Hull cry
Hull participated in the Fever’s “The Puppy Room Interview” during their media day on April 22. The team posted the clip on Instagram on Monday, showing the 26-year-old overwhelmed with emotions. She was handed five puppies, and she had to fight tears from streaming down her face.
“Oh my god,” Hull said. “He’s not real. Hi, baby. I need to take him home. I’m gonna cry.
“Oh my god, you guys. You can all go in my lap.”

Cunningham had the same experience and also felt overjoyed with the puppies.
Hull and Indiana enjoyed a day off on Sunday, but face a busy week ahead of them. They will have several practices before they take on the Dallas Wings at home on Saturday.
The Fever reached the second round of the playoffs in 2025. They pushed the series to a Game 5, but the Las Vegas Aces eliminated them.
The franchise aims to have a deeper run this year, with Hull backing Clark, Cunningham, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell in their championship quest. Indiana added veterans in free agency and rookie guard Raven Johnson via the draft, so they will have additional help.
