Chicago Bears fans react as new suitor emerges for services of OC Declan Doyle
There were few teams in the NFL that had as dramatic a turnaround than the Chicago Bears did in 2025. After finishing 5-12 and in last place in the NFC North in 2024, Chicago went 11-6 in 2025, won the division, and was the second seed in the conference. Of course, the changes made under first-year head coach Ben Johnson were a major reason for their sudden success.
As is the case for every team that sees incredible regular season success, the Bears have seen several of their assistant coaches interviewed for significant jobs around the NFL. Secondary coach Al Harris, for example, has interviewed for multiple defensive coordinator jobs.
Offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, too, has emerged as a hot name in recent days, with multiple NFL teams wanting him for the same role on their sidelines.

Earlier today, it was reported that Doyle had taken his name out of the running for the offensive coordinator job open with the Philadelphia Eagles. It did not take long, though, for him to get interest from the Baltimore Ravens, and fans are hoping he turns down that job as well:

The draw to Baltimore, of course, would be the ability for Doyle to call his own plays. Johnson, of course, calls the offensive plays in Chicago. However, he has only one year of experience as an offensive coordinator and six years overall as an NFL coach.
Previously, he was an offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints and tight end coach with the Denver Broncos.
